Was thinking about Hitler yesterday in the shower, and with Halloween coming up...is it appropriate to be a Nazi or Hitler for Halloween?

(That was a joke...I don't shower.)

If no, why not?

If Hitler/Nazis were atrocious as we all agree, doesn't it do to remind ourselves of those horrors so that we don't repeat them?

Isn't Hitler the scariest man to have lived, with his atrocities?

If we say it's inappropriate or tasteless, why? Offensive? Should we not be offended by other common Halloween costumes and what they represent, even if they are fictitious?

Is it okay for a Jewish person to dress as a Nazi for shock/joke value?

Curious how this morally shakes out amongst GLPers.
