Quoting: Anonymous Coward 22776733 Gather enough and you can power anything. great advice, They sell them now for 99 cents and they make great indoor lights for when the power is out. With some simple electrical knowledge you string them together also. I recommend everyone having an DC to AC Power inverter. Car batteries are everywhere and with a cheap inverter you can power up your electronic devices. Keep some wire clips handy with it so you can remove the car battery and use it indoors for lighting also. "Fear paints pictures of ghosts and hangs them in the gallery of ignorance." Men who became isolated lost all hope to live. you could have everything in the world anyone could ever need or want, but if your isolated from all other human interaction, living becomes mote and without hope great point! that is very true, studies have shown that after a few months even the most dedicated survivalist that has been doing fine surviving alone loses hope and starts to die without human interaction. That is also why the biggest punishment you can get in jail or POW camp is the isolation chamber. Cabin Fever is the modern term for it and happens a lot in Alaska where people spent too much time alone in the winter months huddled up in a remote cabin and go crazy and hurt themselves or others. It just goes to show how important human interaction and Hope really is. "Fear paints pictures of ghosts and hangs them in the gallery of ignorance." Robert Green Ingersoll |

I don't think it will completely remove my dependency on wood and electric heat. But it should supplement it enough to make a huge difference. something like this: "Fear paints pictures of ghosts and hangs them in the gallery of ignorance." Robert Green Ingersoll |
