Nice. History repeats itself again. Next step, justified martial law. Gee, it's almost like they planned it that way. "God forbid we should ever be 20 years without such a rebellion. The people cannot be all, & always, well informed... If they remain quiet under such misconceptions it is a lethargy, the forerunner of death to the public liberty... Let them take arms... What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots & tyrants. " - Thomas Jefferson in 1787 |

I am all for temp help for folks, but these permanent users need to be scrubbed! I guess I'm unique, in my entire adult life I've never asked or received any of these benefits. I always relied on the time tested proven program called working! "The Tree of Liberty is Thirsty and needs Watering" -Me |

When my oldest was a newborn and my husband was getting his business off the ground we qualified for all sorts of government assistance. Instead, we lived in a tiny apartment with no cable or any other frills, went to the park and the library for entertainment and ate beans...imagine that! What is just so stunning in all of this is that there have been so many popular books, movies, and television shows about exactly this sort of thing. The government dependence and revolt against tyranny script is almost a constant echo in pop culture. Just look at the newest iterations, The Hunger Games books and now movies. Why can't the people who keep voting for it see this?! "God forbid we should ever be 20 years without such a rebellion. The people cannot be all, & always, well informed... They're hoping its implimentation is slow enough that most won't see it happening. Why else would they recruit people for food stamps and other handouts? This is it exactly. The number of people on food stamps has doubled in just the last 5 years to 46 million. According to this [link to www.usdebtclock.org] out of 317 million Americans, 144 million are working (46 million retired) and 46 million are on food stamps. This is a dangerous level of dependence. Pair that with the destruction of the traditional family and pushing the idea that morality is an outdated notion and we've got BIG problems. The people who would riot would have no trouble murdering you where you stand. Spot on. This is why I take such little solace from the history of previous triumphs over tyranny and hard economic times. So many millions of people just do not have the moral center and common adherence to what is right and wrong anymore. Sure, there were long soup and bread lines during the depression but the people weren’t rioting because they did not justify or equate poverty with criminal behavior. The Great Depression was a time when you could walk into any local hardware store and buy a rifle or shotgun with no background check and walk home with it slung over your shoulder without anyone worrying about it. Just try imagining that today. "God forbid we should ever be 20 years without such a rebellion. The people cannot be all, & always, well informed... It's already collapsed. It collapsed in 2008. As long as they can hide that simple fact, and keep you plugged into the system they can keep it afloat. Every single thing now is geared toward making you think it has not collapsed. The stock market, all the indicators, it's all a fraud. Most people haven't realized it yet. That is why we still have the illusion of normality. The Fed dumping all the $$$ into the system is to keep you blissfully unaware, thus keeping the system above water. The key to all of this is confidence in the system. That is what happened in 2008. People got spooked and then you had the cascade effect like a vicious catch-22. As long as the sheep buy into the system, they continue to buy, rack up debt and we all keep plugging merrily along. |
