I'm wondering who is worse - sun tards or solar guardian and his trollec.

Solar guardian at least might me funny but you guys sucks completely. I've seen like thousands threads about CME, solar flares and shit and nothing significant happened during last few years.

Looks like it might rise back up to M now.

Perhaps some good Aurora if the Interplanetary Magnetic Field cooperates. It won't be a Carrington Event or anything like what you folks in Canada saw in '89 (X15), an X1 is harmless to our power grid.

With a steady increase in Solar Flux units it would seem the Sun is building up a nice charge...

I think that was from the early M 2.9 flare....I think. That is never updated very soon and especially not in the wee hours of the morning.

Watching.........someone could be very nice and enlighten us in newbie language what happens when earth gets multiple M's directly towards it.

Should get interesting next month as all these large spots rotate back around to earth facing and ISON sling-shotting around the sun November 28/29

Just haven't updated it yet. That was the earlier flare. Look here and scroll to bottom of the page, you will see that 1882 popped the M2.9 five hours earlier.

3-4 days from now we should have a x around 5-8 , we need x flare around 20 and a cme to have a small doom and earth directed.

don't focus on the flare size, it is how big of a CME that is produced that you need to worry about

X20? No, it would need to be higher and it would need to have several X-flares one after the other below X30's to hurt us.

Here watch this, it will give you an idea of what happened back in 2003 and even then, we didn't all lose power, though I think a section of Canada did.

Exactly. A long duration M-flare could cause isolated power outages and have in the past. The CME that is traveling slow and is big, look out.
