Oh never! I would never complain about my current job or co-workers or anything of the such in this interview. Great advice! I knew not to though, because we're partners lol.

Prayers for Mini that it's a mild case. I'm with CAPPS - double down on the symptoms and don't freak about the diagnosis. We've had flu and bad summer colds and strep for years. Covid has mutated enough that it's like any other bad virus that we'll never get rid of. Be aggressive with anti-viral meds, lots of rest and fluids, colloidal silver, lots of vitamins, and whatever med relieves the congestion and cold symptoms. And bowls of hot homemade chicken noodle soup.

I checked until 11:30 last night, and saw no Northern Lights!

Fuck Covid. Prayers up she moves through it quickly with little discomfort.

Okay it's almost go time! My official phone interview is in less than a half hour with the woman who makes the call on hiring or not.

I'm both nervous and confident. I've had some prior communication with this woman and I know she likes me and has sent appreciative emails to me (this was prior to her even knowing that I was applying for their job).

But please wish me luck! I haven't had an interview in 20+ years. That makes me a little on edge.

I don't yet have my official offer, but the woman I spoke with said that I have her blessing for the job and that she was going to call the general manager to let her know.

The GM already emailed me with a YAY!!!!! She loved you!

Soooo, we'll see what's next.

I emailed back and said that I really enjoyed the interview and to let me know the next step(s) and whether or not I should have that conversation with my current boss yet.

I don't want to get ahead of myself, but I'm pretty sure I got the job. And for a decent amount above the original salary offer. :)

Not even worried about any form of severance pay. I don't even have a contract with my current employer, so my main goal is leaving on peaceful terms, with his blessing. I ask for no more than that.
