Psychological trauma creates split personalities? Is that true?
Been researching Project Monarch on and off for a few years.

The premise seems to be that by creating extreme psychological trauma and abuse (physical, sexual, paychological) in young children, the children escape by literally dividing their personalities into two, three, or even more "selves". I guess they flee by pretending the pain is happening to "someone else," and this person becomes the bearer of the pain (??). None of these selves know of the others, and they can then be programmed seperately by the government...one self a totally normal self, one self a killer, one self a sex toy for politicians amusement, and so on.

Is this how it works? Is this theory valid?

Yes, its valid and happens more frequently than we think. Although in different levels, a trauma may create different personas, used as shields to "put the blame" or any other defensive mechanism. It depends on the carrier. In med school I've read some excelent psychological research about the subject. For example, a sexual trauma can create:
- The dummy: whenever dealing with any other sexual situation, the person becomes a "dummy", as if away from the situation
- The monster: Tend to act agressivelly whenever a situation alike with the trauma occurs.
- The hooker: A persona, eager for sex is created, as if an attmept to "revert" the role of dominator/dominated
- The fleer: The victim tend to run away and be as away as possible to any kind of sexual situation

Also, combinations of the personas above may be created. The problems start, whenever these "alter ego" start to overcome the regular personality.

Yes, it is valid, but it's not a static thing meaning that a split personality would not remain intact forever. Alters could come and go depending on a person's stress levels and triggers. Look up Dissociative Identity Disorder- it's fascinating.

I want to say yes, however one third of me disagrees and the other third is sort of on the fence.

Re: Psychological trauma creates split personalities? Is that true?
That is what most religions do. Any disagreement or original thinking is from the devil. Statements like your ego is out of control, or speaking of the subconscious as your dark side.

Basically, painting your human parts are being less then human causes psychological trauma and a splitting of the personality. We start to identify self with a set of ideas and deny our whole self.

When you integrate and appreciate all of who you are, then you are on the road to awareness.

That is so scary and horrifying. I wish I did not even know that. I wish I would not have read it. But it is very interesting.

Yes, any set of belief system can be abused. I met a peruvian women who was systematicaly abused by a "shaman" using something called paleria. She said she used the knowledge she learned through him to do the same to him, and consequently to every man she encountered.

Your brain is like a computer it can be split if done correctly.

Just like your hard drive on your computer.

You can partition the hard drive, put a linux os on one part and windows os on the other part. Same thing with splitting someone's brain.

Re: Psychological trauma creates split personalities? Is that true?
I think this multiple personality disorder or dissociative identity disorder is caused only by horrific conditioning in a government program. Tv shows try to make us believe it occurs outside of controlled laboratory conditions. But when you watch a movie or show about this, look carefully for the butterflies. There will be pictures of them in the sufferer's bedroom, or somewhere else. Every time.
