Sometimes it slowly descends in pitch before stopping. that was the weirdest part of it all the dream was freaky enough, but I think I woke before I should have, because I am telling you there is NOTHING in that bedroom, or even anywhere in my house that can possibly make a noise anything like that. VERY high pitched. when I woke I had the impression there was some type of huge explosion that wiped everything out, which is why I woke with a start, which would probably fit with a large airburst meteorite exploding directly overhead. definitely the UK, definitely leaves on the trees, which were deciduous
