User ID: 37795604 United States 10/15/2013 07:43 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | pardon me and all that, but GOOD! Let these bums pay their own rent. How did this situation even develop? I went homeless for years, and during that time I saw occasional TV or newspaper coverage of people receiving spanking new townhomes (in Chicago, as one example) which they soon ruined. I was the wrong skin colour and had a car to live in instead of a dumpster to shoot drugs in, so I didn't qualify. It's a disgrace to all those who work to pay rent, or just go without. I don't feel sorry for these people at all. Go get a job. If that isn't enough, go get two jobs. If that still isn't enough, make things, sell them at swap meets, wash cars, whatever. Early Americans had to practise this principle. Quoting: Jack The Zipper 48404959 |

Quoting: goodmockingbird ... “But after October, there’s no guarantees,” Kane said. “If they don’t get money, landlords might find they’re not getting payments…. If the shutdown continues more than another week or two, we could be talking about mass displacement of millions of low-income tenants in a few weeks.” [link to www.masslive.com] It's not as if these people will be immediately thrown out, but the landlords will be owed money and not get it. I think some places make it pretty difficult to just throw a tenant out, so it'll be the landlords getting screwed... IDK but I think a lot of laws have been changed about getting people out that dont pay.Use to be such a hassle but not so much now. Its usually written in the lease or contract how long you can stay if you dont pay. With mine it states 10 days after payment is due I am to be moved out.So you dont have much security to squat on a landlord like in the past..It had gotten to the point it was horrible for an owner to try and get a non payer out. They had to do something because some were making it a career to pay a month then squat for free 3 months plus all the while costing the landlord a fortune. The problem with a lot on Section 8 is they wont go freely or they will destroy property. In Montana (and maybe other northern states) a tenant can't be evicted between November and April. (Can't live in cars here.) I guess good to know but wonder if it goes off section 8 so you owe the fair market dreaming price rent the guy s couldn't get or they sure wouldn't have rented to section 8 in the first place. Seems like that energy funding most pay for separately or you could go get would help or not have gone under that Venezuela funded with Chavez. Sure wouldn't want all the pipes to break. We all need to figure this out together landlords and clients. Not all are trashy or going to make a mess either. You could wind up owing alot or something. No one has jobs or full time jobs enough to pay inflated rents section 8 was known to do to stiff the government. |

[4] And there went out another horse that was red: and power was given to him that sat thereon to take peace from the earth, and that they should kill one another: and there was given unto him a great sword. [5] And when he had opened the third seal, I heard the third beast say, Come and see. And I beheld, and lo a black horse; and he that sat on him had a pair of balances in his hand. [6] And I heard a voice in the midst of the four beasts say, A measure of wheat for a penny, and three measures of barley for a penny; and see thou hurt not the oil and the wine. [7] And when he had opened the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth beast say, Come and see. [8] And I looked, and behold a pale horse: and his name that sat on him was Death, and Hell followed with him. And power was given unto them over the fourth part of the earth, to kill with sword, and with hunger, and with death, and with the beasts of the earth. Well what do you know? Seems awfully familiar to what's going on now. Creeping up to it. |

Most have mortgages on these houses. They have families to feed also. They're screwed if the Sec 8 money dries up. Rental portfolios at banks and credit unions all over the country will be deliquent...not good. I don't feel too sorry for those landlords. They imposed their section 8 tenants and slum dwelling on their neighborhood. The rest of the area would probably be happy to see them foreclosed and out of there, and the building renovated or torn down by a new owner. |

Mexican people are actually thoughtful and considerate most of the time, they just want to be left alone and do not raise a ruckus because it would draw attention to 30 people living in one house. Blacks on the other hand, know that we cannot deport them and don't give a shit about anything or anyone. Would you care, if all you had to do was holler "racism" and it made all of your problems go away? |

Hey have at least 800 re-education camps up and running, that will clearly be able to handle the case load. And there it wont cost anyone a dime, free showers roof over your head, bed to sleep in, food to eat. And you can learn to pursue your artistic interest as well, according to pelosi. Not good, but well played by the dicks in charge. :( That is a thought but I don't it will work out that way. The landlord in many cases still owe some mortgage company for that building where the tenant is living in on Section 8. They depend on the rents to pay the mortgage for the building. No rents = no mortgage payment. The landlord will be foreclosed on by HIS mortgage company and they will evict the tenants. It will get very sticky. |
