Re: ***SECTION 8*** FUNDING to DRY UP NOV 1 -- "MASS DISPLACEMENT"
Here's an article from Texas:

[link to lufkindailynews.com]

Apparently in TX, the landlord cannot throw out the tenants as long as the tenants continue paying their share of the rent (however miniscule that may be).

The original article I posted is from Massachussetts, and it is pretty clear that landlords there can evict tenants.

Of course it is the landlords that are getting screwed!!!

All I can safely predict is that a lot of various police department arson investigators will not get much rest.
 Quoting: goodmockingbird

These are private landlords who accept section 8. You also have to consider the housing projects run by the Housing Authorities. Their utilities, payroll, security, etc. all depend on that monthly HUD money. The ghetto may be a whole lot scarier come next month.

Re: ***SECTION 8*** FUNDING to DRY UP NOV 1 -- "MASS DISPLACEMENT"
pardon me and all that, but GOOD! Let these bums pay their own rent. How did this situation even develop? I went homeless for years, and during that time I saw occasional TV or newspaper coverage of people receiving spanking new townhomes (in Chicago, as one example) which they soon ruined. I was the wrong skin colour and had a car to live in instead of a dumpster to shoot drugs in, so I didn't qualify. It's a disgrace to all those who work to pay rent, or just go without. I don't feel sorry for these people at all. Go get a job. If that isn't enough, go get two jobs. If that still isn't enough, make things, sell them at swap meets, wash cars, whatever. Early Americans had to practise this principle.
 Quoting: Jack The Zipper 48404959

I think they should be given the assistance, but they should also be given a job and required to work it. If they fail to work, barring severe emotional illness or physical illness, they should be put off from the dole.

Good! These rat bastards DESTROYED my old neighborhood and I was stuck there dealing with their shit for 5 years before my house reached enough value for me to sell it and break even. It was a nightmare. This would be the best thing for any neighborhood is to get these cockroaches out. They come in, don't follow the rules, won't work, are filthy, have 20 kids that run wild all around the neighborhood and generally act a fool. I don't know who's worse, the section 8 losers or the illegals. Thank GOD I don't have to deal with either of them now.
 Quoting: J0nx

Same here. They destroyed my old neighborhood. It was a nice place until the damn Government brought in these freeloaders and now it is a crime ridden hell hole. That is what these hood rats do. They have no respect for anything and don't appreaciate the handouts they get.

I hope the Government runs out of money to give these useless criminals. let them sleep in dumspters. It might give them an incentive to get off their fat asses and do something for once in their miserable lives. It is hard for me to understand how a person can go through life being a pain in the ass to everyone they come into contact with.

“We had some funds that were flowing, but starting Nov. 1, however, we will not have those funds,” Gornstein said. “We will not be able to make payments to landlords, so what could happen is landlords may start the eviction process."

...
“But after October, there’s no guarantees,” Kane said. “If they don’t get money, landlords might find they’re not getting payments…. If the shutdown continues more than another week or two, we could be talking about mass displacement of millions of low-income tenants in a few weeks.”

I started this thread when I got curious about the EBT cutoff, and got to wondering what about Section 8?

All I found are a few very local articles, including the alarming "mass displacement" article and quote I posted in the beginning.

This is not making mainstream news anywhere at all!

Why no propaganda??? Why no starving, homeless children in the news???

EBT going down, Section 8 going down...their strategy is so clear it is disgusting. Low income people are the most likely to get riled up and are easily manipulated. Take away there food and housing and they cause chaos trying to take other peoples food and housing...giving them the perfect reason to swoop down with martial law.

The low income people will be used as as the means to an end.

There will be grumbling, complaining, maybe one or two that go full retard over it. But if there is a rio, I think it will be a completely staged riot performed by trained forces. Dressed to look the part of the lower class. If they are going to go to all this trouble to stage riots, then they are not going to sit back and hope that the sheep play along.
