Wow this is a lot of fancy talk for a simple person as myself. I however noticed an unexplained ringing in my ear at around 330 pm central time and has moved to both ears by 9 pm central time. I have a slight cold but have never experienced this type of ringing before.

its only the very front of this CME that has arrived
the front portion was expected to be way less of an impact than the bulk of the more dense plasma that is coming in behind it
NOAA had forecasted a G1 storm for day 1, a G2 storm for day 2 and then back down to a G1 storm for day 3

Here we can see this CME as it is enrout in space. we can see the more dense part of the CME is behind the front section

Because of this, I expect the storming conditions to increase in the coming hours

The proton flux is already falling off rapidly, the magnetic field will be back to near normal by morning

You folks do a great disservice to yourselves by playing up every little CME as "it"

Everyone has forgotten all about the 12/21/12 controversy and I think it was a mindgame. I think the promulgated date was off by one year.

I will offer only this vague warning, because I can't be certain. If solar activity begins to ramp up rapidly and we start seeing flare related CME's and solar flares in the X range, it's going to be tough winter. Typically October and November are extremely active months during a solar MAX, look at the archives.TPTB have been preparing for a massive solar radiation storm for over 15 years that I know of.

They know something catastrophic is going to happen, All of the signs point to a plan to ride it our underground. I may be wrong, they may be preparing for nuclear war, but they're getting ready for radiation and for the earths surface to be uninhabitable

real doom = economic collapse, riots all over the globe, middle-east wars, famine, natural disasters caused by the sun when heating earth's core, therefore EQs, tsunamis, floods, etc.

i hope people will learn with this one , i have been folowign what happen with the sun for year and you dont need to be a expert to understand when we see this cme that it was not just a usual cme and it was in the line of fire

so understand this! if a kill shot would had to happen they wont call it....you will know when the power grid will be OFF.

We watch and wait and this is one that our group has decided may be something to talk about. You don't see the solar family out on a pinned thread unless its somewhat viable.
What you posted at the end is actually somewhat plausible, but why constantly play the ego card first before your science rhetoric ensues. Try to realize we only care about the science involved and the effects to friends, Nins thread is about learning and discovery along with Hughs thread here tonight. Hugh M eye doesn't post often, when he does there is cause for concern or a chance to learn, we are solar children and we follow our livelihood with honesty, sometimes conflict but always with eternal gratitude for the ability to discover. We all know the times are a changing but remember we are all part of it.

I have a post of yours from 2 years ago proclaiming dire and dastardly times over a proton event much smaller than this, its amazing when we aren't true astrophysicists how our viewpoint of doom changes as we actually learn a few things. Remember a gluon isn't a clothing accessory!

that's because the proton levels have remained at elevated levels for the last few days since the filament lift off on Sept 30th

The proton level has remained so high because earths proximity to the filament lift off region was very close.
Those protons were connected at a elevated level because of this, then trapped in the Van Allen belt
I do see now that they are starting to drop off a bit :)

The next day, Sat. 28th, I was excited to witness a fireball slowly cross the sky BEFORE dark @ 7:45 pm. I've seen quite a few bolides but never any before darkness fell. And I saw it thru my car windshield. When I checked the AMS reporting site, nearly 300 others had already made reports.

Well, in the spirit of cooperation I will offer this piece of information.
The earth has already been effected by the unusual space weather. During the last solar maximum some very unusual events took place, things that took all of the space weather scientists by surprise. The truth and what I've learned is, we can't predict specific events and give an accurate timing any more like we could during the last solar maximum because conditions are so different in interplanetary space and new models of prediction need to be developed., but we can see trends and the one I'm seeing indicates we're all in trouble and we're going to lose this game of cosmic roulette eventually. The right combination of conditions and we're all going to be living in a different reality in a blink of an eye
