I live in coastal Maine and i just saw a meteorite stretch the length of the sky perfectly parallel to the ground below the tree top line.....it had a tail and at first i thought it was a missile...mom tried to convince me it was a shooting star. but ive seen a lot of those... a shooting star this was not...

anyone else witness this???

I'm pretty sure this can't be the same one. But I'm in Louisville Ky and was watching what I thought was a bright satellite go the length of the sky and then it starting flashing brighter and brighter and went out like a shooting star. It was heading southeast.

And it wasn't directly above me but mate at a 45 degree angle. Did yours kind of flash in and out if brightness near the end?

I'm in Chattanooga, TN.
It looked like it was following another sattalite looking light across the sky. They both just faded away before my eyes.

Yeah... Last night. I'm outside looking for it again tonight lol. Strangest thing I've seen in the sky! Definitely weird, but I feel better knowing someone else witnessed it.
