First of all, don´t panic, read.

Hazmat
[link to hisz.rsoe.hu]

The device stolen is a Troxler moisture density gauge
[link to www.onestoptesting.co.uk]

It contains:
for Gamma Source 0.30 GBq (8 mCi), ± 10% Cs-137 = Cesium 137
for Neutron Source 1.48 GBq (40 mCi), ± 10% Am-241:Be= Americium 241

Anyone in or around construction knowing if it could pose any danger with the containing material or was it just some constructor scrooge who just don´t wants to spend the money on one ??

I just saw this on RSOE, and figured there'd be some thread on GLP already made. I was right. Good catch, OP. It could be nothing, but ya never know.
