Mask was a great film, although when I saw the real Rocky Dennis in a Sunday magazine when I was 6 years old I was terrified to sleep with the lights out. Rocky became my personal bogeyman for a long time thereafter. I called him Rocky monster. I even started telling the other kids about Rocky monster, and that he was lurking in the toilets. Consequently, the kids started pissing themselves because they thought Rocky monster was waiting for them.

When I eventually watched Mask, I realized Rocky was a sweet boy, and not a monster at all.
