Unconfirmed Report: Large bomb explosion @ Fort Wainwright in Alaska

Somthing about this bugs me. Really bugs me!

Yeah, I would have brushed it off since there are no other confirming reports EXCEPT for the fact that more than one base website went off line.

Ran across this tidbit from a poster in the comments sections on another website:

No Doom! I live in Fairbanks AK, 31 years! had some guys training the other day with 155mm cannons was all.

EAMs are Emergency Action Messages coming from Us Military Command... there have never been these callsigns in the open before... bottom line is we don't know what they mean. It's abnormal.

UVB-76 is the Russian Buzzer station and it has never gone offline and issued commands like that.

So far, all I've found out is that there was a large power outage in the Fairbanks area around the same time my source claims the explosion took place. From her original message: "Why did I just hear a bomb go off? My house shock! ...I know it wasn't a rocket launcher because those were going off earlier this week..." As I stated in another post, the Fort Wainwright official page (www.wainwright.army.mil) is currently down, however I have reached out to the Fort Wainwright official facebook and Twitter feeds, as well as a reporter at KTUU Anchorage (who told me about the power outage). I will continue to dig into this until I find out whether or not there was actually a bomb or it was just some idiot who blew up his grill...

Are you able to confirm that Wainright is SOP right now?

Yes have friends in the Blackhawks on base, just a plain old day here.
