I posted the below thread in July of 2012, but didn't get many hits. Seems more relevant & related than ever. Let me get this straight. .... so uhhmerika can send israel a bunch of abrahms tanks but china cant send some petty gear to cuba? Which may I add has an illegal trade embargo on them since the 60s? And its fidels fault everyone in rhat country is below poverty levels? Gimme a break. I can imagine Kennedy s thoughts. "Sorry your a commy country no food for you, we will just blame the guy with the beard"

You know the first call Castro made when his guys won? To the US president hoping for recognition and negotiations. You know who Ho Chi Minh and the Veit Minh fought for and with all through WWII? The USA. All they wanted was that after the war, the USA would tell the French that they had to give up Vietnam as a colony. They US said they would and then renigged after the war.
