INTERNET CENSORSHIP? Michael Hastings Article Vanishing, Alt news articles not showing up'

I posted this in the older Michael Hastings thread, being on the fence if this deserved a thread of its own. Seeing as it has to do with possible internet censorship in addition to Michael Hastings a new thread finally won out.

If you couldn't tell I've been trying to keep up on the Michael Hastings story. To do that I would do an internet search on Michael Hastings with the time limit of past hour, along with a Twitter search on Michael Hastings every couple of hours.


I noticed something funny after this article came out:

The report’s narrative included several mentions of Hastings’s alleged use of various narcotics, apparently based largely upon comments from the brother who was attempting to intervene.

But another Hastings family member told WhoWhatWhy that the coroner’s report was “irresponsible.” The family member said via email, “The LAPD has done a really sloppy job investigating his case, and they were hoping for a mother lode of drugs in his system. When they didn’t get it in the toxicology lab results (science!), they had to insert speculation throughout their field report to compensate for their lack of an investigation. It’s so irresponsible.”

In 2003, a California appeals court dismissed a murder conviction because prosecutors had failed to disclose to the defense that Ribe (the coroner), a trial witness, had “credibility problems” and “a history of changing his testimony,” according to an account in the Los Angeles Times.




After retweeting the WWW tweet, nothing happened on the Michael Hastings twitter search. I refreshed, still nothing showed up. Looking closer I realized there were no tweets on this article at all. Trying again, still nothing, thinking it had something to do with retweets I decided to tweet the link, again nothing.


Wondering if it was just a Twitter glicth I checked out Google and Bing, neither had anything on the story at all, actually there were just results that showed the story that he was on drugs, which those of us that have followed this know isn't true.

There was a thread on GLP on the New family member info that had been pinned. Usually the net would be flooded with stories in posts that had been pinned. Yet even with over 6,000 views there was nothing on the net...

I've been checking since then and still nothing, things seem to be dwindling even further on the other stories too. I used to think this was due to the story being over...

Just looking further today, the 29th of August, I see that neither WhoWhatWhy.com or Drudge articles are included in searches, the sites show up when you search the name but articles don't show u.

For instance if you search wsj the site shows up the next item shows news then individual articles, same with other msm sources. Then serch www and Drudge, just the site shows up. Kind of strange.

now I wonder if that lack of interest is being engineered.
