I would define it as the top 1-3% OF the populace, funds in excess of 250 million. Wealth as in so much that it is no longer about personal happiness, but power.

The ability to buy out and bury entrepreneurs, the ability to buy politicians, the ability to be immune to law.

That is the kind of wealth I am talking about. It makes persons not just rich and well off, but Aristocrat's, and above the rest of the population, with rules that only apply to them and not others.

This is the end result of un regulated Capitalism. A monarchy. Kings and Barons. And they run things, rather than the people.

This nation was supposed to be a Republic, It is no longer what we fought for. As an American, I see what has happened to our nation. I have no use for Kings and Monarchs, nor the Aristocratic Oligarchs.

I for one will not be buying into health care insurance. For the past 7years I have not needed to see a doctor. Since it will come down to buying good food and paying rent or paying for insurance I won't use I guess I will be going to jail ,cuz I will choose what's right for me.

There is no standard for what is wealthy, and there NEVER will be.

And the one taking from the other will NEVER be satisfied, and those 'without' taking from those "with" (whoever at that moment decides what 'with' means) will never stop.

I keep hearing people say that the bill that made the individual mandate a tax originated in the Senate. This is not true, unfortunately. This is what happened.

They cheated.

When the 111th Congress went back into session after the summer holiday in 2009, the House went to work on it's part of the ACHA bill - HR 3962. The Senate wanted to start working on its own provisions for the bill, but since any laws that deal with a tax must first start in the House, the Senate used H.R. 3590, a bill regarding housing tax breaks for service members. The Senate took up this bill since it was first passed by the House as a revenue-related modification to the Internal Revenue Code. The bill was then used as the Senate's vehicle for their health care reform proposal, completely revising the content of the bill.

So it did originate in the House, just not the provision for the Individual Mandate from what I can gather. It's such a fuck up and a slight of hand it's hard as hell for me to track down exactly which bill did what - where.

So that's how we ended up with a Senate Bill and a House Bill comprising the Affordable Health Care Act. It's made up of the following two bills.

Senate (HR 3590) - The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA) signed into law by President Barack Obama on March 23, 2010. [link to www.gpo.gov]

and

House (HR 3692)- The Health Care and Education Reconciliation Act of 2010 signed into law by President Barack Obama on March 30, 2010.


Now if this doesn't piss you off to the point of being done with the whole lot of them up there, I don't know what it's going to take to get people to do something. If you haven't seen the movie "Good" with Viggo Mortensen, I recommend it.

Many years ago I worked for a pediatrician. I was the only employee and did everything.
It was a strictly cash business (5 dollars, I think) so no paperwork was involved.
My last trip to the doc was $25 co-pay plus insurance, and there were 5 employees.

Righties are not smart people, because it pays very well these days to be ignorant. The Obama health care plan is the original republican health care plan, yet because Obama is pushing the their bill, now people don't like it. Read for yourselves 24 years before the right-wing Heritage Foundation Think Tank, they developed this health care plan, which is how then Governor Mitt Romney got his his health care plan implemented in Massachusetts. But this requires you Righties to give up those lies that you had been holding on to for the last six years. Anyways just information which is available. If Obama is for it you guys will be against it. Tomorrow if Obama came out and said I am against abortion, you guys would start being for abortion the next day. If Obama came out and said that he supports 100% everything the NRA is for you guys would be against it the next day, truly you all are some sick people and need some serious medical attention.
