User ID: 32723625 United States 08/13/2013 03:10 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Ok folks.. Quoting: Wanta10GA Here's the deal. There does seem to be a glitch in the server where the ship info is coming from. The weather reports are coming from a few ships on the move instead of being anchored. But the older reports from some of those ships older locations while on the move are not being removed. Normally it's one ship giving one report one location at a time. Old ship locations are not being removed from the map! Sorry for starting this thread. I should of dug further before posting this thread. But Like I said, I been using this program for 5 years and never had a problem. The problem is with the server where the ship info is coming from and it's a first glitch I ran into in 5 years. A few members posted simple and to the point debunks without being rude which helped me looked into things a bit further. After all, we all want the truth and so do I, and I like to thank those members. Thanks NP You are the creator of your own master plan... Make it a good one. Wake the fuk up and be ready... Anonymous Coward User ID: 39139288 Australia 08/13/2013 04:30 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | During the DWH disaster, the good folks on the bezerk thread went mental monitoring all the ships in and around the GoM. When you finally work out who is who, and what they carry or do, and who owns them/charters them, it can get intriguing, and give you an idea of what is up. Before it got really bad, we were seeing the drilling ships, refinery ships, and a big ass surface skimmer called A-Whale, which was loaded with 'something' coming from Malaysia, and with no stops, was empty for surface skimming when it hit the area. We mainly treated it as a bit of fun, but there were some good hits amongst the speculation, like the A-Whale. [ftr, we thought it was full of corexit] I truly cant be bothered doing it, but anyone interested might make a list and see what they are all about? As our able bodied seaman stated though, ships can be at anchor for a zillion different reasons. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 44940948 Australia 08/13/2013 04:36 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | That pic is showing ships anchored off the continental shelf which is impossible. Ships do not carry 5000 feet of anchor chain. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 41966660 Perhaps there is a glitch in the program. I tend to agree.....Thats what IM looking into....could be ships sending info while on the move and program giving info showing they are anchored Also could be a glitch in the server where the info is coming from and not the program All the ships would be closer to the shore but the program spreads them out so you can see them and read them. |

That celebrity cruise ship in particular actually carried a dead humpback whale to port once...
