One went across the sky in the area that is filled with light pollution so it was a good one! FWIW User ID: 33382770 United States 08/12/2013 03:03 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I saw at least six really good sized ones in a half hour, And as many small quick ones. The difference between night watching in a town/city and out in the country is startling. Staring out into the huge deep night sky that looks like what my ancestors watched is humbling. |

Not quite midnight here on the west coast but would love to see at least one before I hit the hay. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 43262223 Straight up and a little north worked best for me. Hopefully I'll be able to see something. If you have any light pollution, straight up is usually the darkest area of the sky. Some I saw were so bright even in the city should have seen them. The sky was clear and we stayed about an hour. It was beautiful! We saw 100+ with about 15 big ones. The kids were so excited. It is what it is...deal with it. |
