OP: I know a lot of people think the idea you put forth is crazy, but in a way I think it's very plausible, primarily due to the very PREGNANT belly AND the fact that Kate did not walk or act like a woman who had given birth to her first child only 24 hours prior.
A woman will have a loose flabby belly but no way will they have a well-defined pregnancy belly. And almost every woman who has her first child via natural childbirth will be walking a little slowly/carefully at least for a couple or so days.
What I do not find plausible about your theory is how many people would have to be "in" on the hoax and could it be done. Also, why wouldn't she just have stayed in the hospital until the actual birth? But moreover, why wouldn't she have worn something to "hide" the evident pregnancy belly?

We were told that she went IN LABOR for 20 HOURS,
and that the coming out the hospital was 4 HOURS after giving birth ...

I understand that some aspects of my opinion are not easy to grasp.
To understand what I am saying needs some insight and actual experience with energy-work and insight in their rituals -how they work, and what is needed-.
In my theory she cant/couldnt stay in the hospital till the "True birth" becoz they have to attend the hexagram alignment rituals and they have to be in a kind of privacy.
Now with this fake birth, they have the media off their backs wanting the scoop of the moment of birth. Now they [people and world] "believe" the Child is already born they divert the focus and create a "space" for their real intentions and rituals.
Kate WORE exactly THAT so that the world would "believe" ... with the intent to get people to emphatise in order to collect energy.
