Re: The loss of all fear
I don´t fear what most people fear, not death or anything like that. But I´m confronted with my fears again these days.
I´m just trying to confront myself with it now, trying to dive deep into the roots of it. That´s the only way I think.
 Quoting: A r c t u r u s

So what do you fear these days? What are you trying to overcome?

If you are willing to share.

Re: The loss of all fear
I no longer fear death, most likely due to advancing age. Here's a great movie on that subject [link to www.imdb.com]

now I only fear doing harm to others inadvertently (which is why I dropped out of mainstream America)

Been there for a couple of years. Combination of dealing with a loved ones depression (which I tried to cure and realized I personally can not) and the need to let go. Sometimes situations that seem hopeless provide you with epiphany you must let go of trying to control the situation and be the observer looking down.

Though I would like to in a way, but I can´t.
It´s too personal in a way.
But it´s also a bit complicated, I´m still trying to figure this out.

The thing is, this kind of fear appeared one day, when I was at that "point of no fear".
It was like fear had some kind of backup-plan and it noticed "Oh, shit he has no fear anymore, gotta do something".
There will come a time when you believe everything ends.

Would love to hear more, but I understand.

If you change your mind please come back and share it. I think talking about these things helps move society in the right direction.

Good luck on your journey.

That moment in your life. The moment so trans-formative that you lose all sense of fear.

Fear of death
Fear of others
Fear of this
Fear of that

Every fear gone.

How many GLP members are at this point? Anyone care to share what event was your breakthrough?
 Quoting: Forgotten

Fear is an emotion. Just like love, hate, jealousy.

I can sense "danger" just fine. But there is no reason to "fear" it.

Been awhile never Forgotten...

Was the day I got off work called the wife said I was taking an as afternoon power nap. Worked like 20/7 Landscape Construction.

Busy everyday. No sense of time.

She came home I was non responsive. And not breathing, not breathing, kinda like deep dreams. After 4 hrs. Asleep not breathing the hospital got a rythem for breathing.

After all the rigamoreoll was in a coma for a month.

Different to say The least...

When they said i woke up from the other side. As The others that were by my side. Said time to go Back.

Back thought I just got here, you did time to go back. As she signed the paper work. I sat up in my hospital bed.

Guess I lived, what is out here is to be seen. I have been there...

Re: The loss of all fear
The work of deconstructing the mind/ego brings up various fears and always the fear of facing oneself as nothing but an awareness. That fear is in the mind but we identify with the thoughts and thus they "own" us. Dis-identification from the thoughts leads towards recovery of full awareness, unlimitedness, no fears.

Fear of death is one item that gets observed and dismissed, then the fears of the polar opposites, "Separateness and Oneness" get merged, and unbiased love (with total awareness) is all that remains. That is YOU for real :-)

Hey Brother,

fears spring from the mortal animal side inside (the total sum of the three bodies of man physical/astral/mental)

one needs to go through what is called the Mystical Death to let behind all Fears.

not in the sense that one will become a fearless nut,
but in the case that fear will not determine one's actions anymore.

For the Soul to take the Seat of the Driver, it is necessary that the ego/'I' experience a full fledged death, in all three bodies

only then, when the mortal side succumbs and accepts its own death, the Soul can Shine in all Magnificence

yes, so true. I forgot where I heard it, but they were comparing people to cells in that the skin (what separates us outside from in) is not where the person ends. look at a cell, and the cell membrane will separate it from the outside world but it's still part of the same human. don't know if that makes sense (I'm sure I'm not doing the video justice) but essentially, that's where the problem is, the illusion of separation.

I struggle with anxiety from time to time, but I agree with the OP that it's best to face your fears, battle them, and overcome them. It's so pointless to live in constant fear. Especially of the things we can't change.

Easier said then done, most "fears" are irrational and we know this CONSCIOUSLY, but our subconscious mind still reacts. Only when we tap into the subconscious mind can we determine where our irrational fears stem from and correct them.

Yes, exactly! That task is often extremely difficult, but it's more than worth every ounce of effort. A lot of the subconscious places some of my fears were rooted from were surprising, but once you can pinpoint that cause, it gets easier.
