Vegas.. Fire Alarms Going Off at Palms daughter Trapped On 52nd floor night club!!!.

i think she forgot to press the first floor button..

No they won't let them leave...elevators are shut down!

Someone could have pulled a fire alarm, its a large hotel that is up to code .... Fire sprinklers would start going off I think she will be ok OP

Take a deep breath. Relax. I'm sure she will be okay. It is a very upscale club, I assure you that they have a lot of emergency help on hand due to the crowd volume and money they rake in. It is more likely precautions to prevent the crowd from panic-ing and making the situation worse.

I'm sure information will follow and we will keep your daughter in our thoughts and prayers, that she WILL make it home safely.

Heard the Hotel is ablaze, fireman can't even get close

It's okay mom, they are just taking necessary precautions. Could be a small fire in one of the rooms or as another poster said someone pulled the alarm.

If I hear anything I'll let you know. I'm a mom too and know what it's like to worry....here's a hug, she'll be okay.

Don't worry I'm sure the club has procedures that it follows if a fire alarm goes off. Lifts will be closed, you should never use a lift if there's a fire alarm anyway.

There are ALWAYS emergency fire exits and stairs. It's part of building code. They are just trying to prevent the clubbers from hurting themselves and each other by madly running out of the club (stairs). They are doing crowd control to prevent panic as they investigate and extinguish the potential fire situation. And if firemen or security need to access the club, they will be the ones using those stairs and they don't need hundreds of kids in the way, lol.

No worries, but it's great she is keeping you informed. All will be well. Tell her to keep her head, she'll be out soon.

Thanks ...she told me they are putting them in the service elevator, and there was no fire...

YAY! So glad to hear she is ok and you have peace of mind.

Now you take it easy Mom and de-stress. Bubble bath is always nice, lol.

It could be a risk trapped inside if the elevator plummets from many feet down when the cord cuts while the fire's spreading.

Shit, there are always stairs. I would tell her to always scope out where the exits and stairs are whenever she enters a place. Will save your life in an emergency, most people rush the main exits, and it leaves a pretty fast and clear exit for you.

I threw up in the lobby at that hotel a few years back.

She and her boyfriend and his parents are celebrating bfs birthday.....his parents didn't go with them to club....she is getting her MBA ...not a party girl...just a birthday trip
