Anonymous Coward User ID: 31243632 United States 06/28/2013 07:38 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | The Obama administration on Friday warned Americans against all but essential travel to Egypt and moved to reduce the official U.S. presence in the country amid fears of widespread unrest. Just hours after Egyptian officials said an American had been killed in clashes between government supporters and opponents in the city of Alexandria, the State Department said Americans should defer nonessential travel to Egypt, citing the uncertain security situation. It also said it would allow some nonessential staff and the families of personnel at the U.S. Embassy in Cairo to leave Egypt until conditions improve.... That move doesn't require anyone to depart but encourages them to go by allowing them to do so at government expense. Officials said dependents and nonessential staff could be ordered to leave if the situation deteriorates. [link to www.miamiherald.com] |

He came to Cairo and talked a bunch of chit. Egyptians have very long memories; they are no longer impressed. |

Sidi Gaber is where the American photojournalist was killed and the MB has a headquarters there. You can see who is fighting who. Beards. Beards are the targets. |

The Right Policy
User ID: 31219881 United States 06/29/2013 12:17 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | 0bama made this happen on purpose. He sucks fag ballz The Right Policy is Always Conservative "The danger to America is not Barack Obama, but a citizenry capable of entrusting a man like him with the Presidency. It will be far easier to limit and undo the follies of an Obama presidency than to restore the necessary common sense and good judgment to a depraved electorate willing to have such a man for their president. The problem is much deeper and far more serious than Mr. Obama, who is a mere symptom of what ails America . Blaming the prince of fools should not blind anyone to the vast confederacy of fools that made him their prince. The Republic can survive a Barack Obama, who is, after all, merely a fool. It is less likely to survive a multitude of fools, such as those who made him their President." - Vaclav Klaus |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 42511869 Greece 06/29/2013 04:15 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Im a new yorker. I'm glad I stopped early my vacations to Egypt and escaped this madness, i flew out yesterday from luxor, all the locals were trying to conviced me that everything is going to be fine, that they only hate their government not the foreigners and special the tourists who bring money to their local economy. In my only 5 days there when i realized that I was living between mad, ignorant religious fanatic population my survival instincts kicked in, I left prepaid hotel, paid 3 nights cruise to Aswan and run away as fastest I could and not looking back. Now here in Athens i making reservations for Chania, Crete island. Im upset and disappointed that I didn't have the change to see the pyramids or the museum in Cairo. I hope sometime in the future when is safe i return to see the rest of Egypt's beauty and wonders. |

Smart move. I left when Morsi gave everyone the ability to make citizens' arrests BECAUSE THERE ARE NO POLICE. All it would take is one thickie (and there's plenty to choose from) to avail themselves of an opportunity and arrest the "spy." I could live with the rolling blackouts in the hellahot African heat (which also means no water), but a nut job with a beef against foreigners or a broke dude who could cash in on some reward (wink, wink) money, no way. Count your blessings. Luxor is and has been a disaster. Sure, the government says tourism is picking up, but know that the government says anyone who comes into Egypt through the airport in Cairo and stays overnight is a tourist ... including millions of refugees from Libya and Syria - who can't leave. The "locals" were desperate, and I do mean desperate, for your money because Luxor depends on government handouts and tourist dollars to eat. The tour guides (and camel/donkey/horse guys) at the Pyramids have been outright assaulting each other over who gets the foreigner for a long time. The road that leads to the turnoff to get into the pyramids is a hot spot for car jacking and kidnapping. |

They wanted Hosni Mubarak out. Now they will have to pay a high price for having him out. Karma is a bitch! I came. I saw. I Concorde. For once you have tasted Concorde you will walk the earth with your eyes turned skywards, for there you have been and there you will long to return.
