Hearing Music when there is none.
About a week ago just as I went to lay down for bed I heard music. It wasn't music as in the kind that would be on a radio. It was more like native american drums and wind instruments. I got up to see if a tv was left on, or if my kids were up at 3am. No one was. It was quite beautiful music. I went to my window to see if it was wind, turned off my fan to see if it would stop. It didn't. I thought it was a fluke, and went to bed listening to the beautiful noise.

Does this happen to anyone else? It hasn't stopped. Every now and then since this happened I catch a little tune of it, and move on about my day.

I am mentally stable, not prone to the "voices", and my hearing is just fine. What could be causing this?

Re: Hearing Music when there is none.
I've definitely heard this before. Around 3 AM. It was so odd that I had to tell my friends about it. The most gentle, beautiful Native American sounding music, and it wasn't coming from any particular area. It was too long and structureless to be a recording, and there weren't any voices. At first I though it was somebody playing music while they worked, but there were no other sounds, and it was unlike any recording. Very strange.

I am glad to see I am not alone! It was very beautiful, and it lasted a while until I drifted off to sleep. It was disturbing enough though that I had to get up and search my entire house to try to find where it was coming from. I even went outside to see if it was my wind chime, since I have one of those huge bamboo ones on my front porch, but there was no wind. It is just odd. It was very calming once I laid back down to go to sleep.

If you have any metal in your mouth over time enzymes in your saliva can crystallize on the metal and the vibrations from AM radio frequencies can be "heard" in your head.

When I was a teenager this happened about the 3rd year in with my braces ... I kept hearing spanish voices and tejano music if it was REAL quiet.

Found out the cause totally by accident because I felt like I was going insane and while getting my braces tightened at the orthodontist one visit it was REAL quiet and I just suddenly exclaimed, "Why in the hell do I keep hearing mexican music?!?!" because no one was actually in the room with me.

My dental assistant heard me because I exclaimed it louder than I meant to and they changed all the hardware out. Made it stop.

So, if you have any metal fillings or braces, that might well be the cause.

Nope, no cavities in my head. :) I was very lucky in my childhood to have strong teeth. I attribute it to having lactose problems while living in Okinawa, Japan as a baby and only being able to drink coconut milk.

I remember waterbeds were bad about it(30 something years ago) if you were all fucked up, or that's where I first heard it, but I still hear it quite often so who knows. We're not crazy, just a little unwell.

Microwave hearing (Frey Effect) can occur without metal implants. Many are now experiencing this and other health effects known to be caused by microwaves at 3AM which is a time many smart meters are set for large transmissions.

Looking around on the net I just read of an old case where some old woman was hearing music and it turned out to be radio being picked up through her bedsprings ... but that wouldn't provide an answer to you're still hearing it while walking around and shit.

Ok, I'm stumped.

I'm gonna go with either you losing your mind or some paranormal shit.

CREEEEEPY!!

Where does the music come from I wonder

I too hear mexican music sometimes late at night when I am way pat my bedtime, and sorta over tired. Mexico can transmit at high wattages (60, 00 w I believe) compared to us in Canada. Frinds have shared that they have heard othere stations, as have I, like country music, or tlak radio. BUt can never reallly make out the words....It`s like a suggestion.

If I have two air filter fans on, or a computer fan late at night, and I have taken a tylenol or somsuch, I hear stuff. The next days events. I will get them as repeating and intence feelings lasting over half an hour, as I am unable to shift my consciousness away from the feeling. It just keeps comming back, even If I try to ignore it.

The interfernce patterns created by the fan blades against the air, creating procussion at frequency multiples with each other; and the aid of the painkiller changes my perception.

FRequency resonance attunement.

It's kind of like the ringing in the ears, you just pretend like you don't hear it.
You can hear it while in caves really well too. I recall being in one and I was just ignoring the music when the wife asked, do you hear the music...I said yes. LOL!

It was more like saloon type music.

I'm the same way, used to hear classical music in white noise.

Nowadays, when I hear a repetitive noise with a constant frequency, my mind creates music around it.

Probably doesn't help I am self-taught on guitar, bass, percussion and drums.

57 yr old, male with some metal in the mouth and a history of psych illness. Have heard music through air vents leading into house. When I've gone outside to check the music is gone. Back in the house and it has returned. Also now in different house can hear distinct tunes coming out of a table fan. Unable to id the tunes but it's distinct from the whirring of the fan.

Too bad this didnt start happening before I went to SD to visit the caves up there! Would have been awesome to hear that percussion while down there. :)

The day it started I had spent the day at a family reunion that was across the street from an old cemetery. (Morbid I know LOL) But in the back of my head, while listening to the music, all I could think was I hope I didnt bring a straggler home. I am not too much of a believer in the occult, but some of my family members are.
