Oh my goodness!!! I saw this last night and thought about GLP as well!! This was trippy. I can't wait to see what she does in her Vegas audition.

On the one hand, kudos to the kid for being able to belt it out, but if she keeps that up, she'll end up wrecking her voice later on.

Music/singing is a beautiful art that requires years of practice, technique, and mastery. THIS IS NOT SINGING. THIS IS SCREAMING. THERE IS NO TALENT HERE.

I don't blame the little girl. I blame her parents, who have obviously influenced her to do this. She's going to ruin her voice, and be the laughingstock of America.

I have to agree! WTH!!!.... Kids just aren't kids anymore! I'm SOO glad I did all the stuff that matters in life with my kids when they were little and growing up. This is wrong on so many levels its not even funny.

We gave our younger son a wide berth. He was a very quiet child with an artistic bent. When he wanted to form a band while in primary school, we were happy to oblige. This was something my own mother would not do for me.

Although his band did not last very long, it allowed him a vehicle for self expression and discovery.


By the age of 14, a few of us parents took turns transporting our kids to music venues, coffee houses and dry clubs.

Year to year they went through stages, long hair, dyed hair, black clothing, the tragic youth phase, even some vegan years.

Know what? By the time they graduated high school, they had "been there, done that", had explored the world outside their own neighborhood, and, pretty much found direction for their lives.

Today, at 22, most are college grads, all holding jobs with benefit packages, dressed for success when it matters, living on their own, paying their own way.

Just because a six year-old picks up a microphone and shocks some people, does not mean she's on a path to become a problem for society. From what I can see, she and her brother are really nice kids, from a loving family that cherishes one another. That's all that really counts. Love, respect, and support.
