May 13, 2006 will complete the Abomination that Makes Desolate.

Daniel 12:11-12
11 And from the time that the daily sacrifice shall be taken away, and the abomination that maketh desolate set up, there shall be a thousand two hundred and ninety days.

12 Blessed is he that waiteth, and cometh to the thousand three hundred and five and thirty days.

Two of the most prevalent false teachings in the church today are the teaching of a seven-year tribulation period with a “rapture” preceding it or in the middle of it. This teaching is the result of men who have intellectually attempted to grasp the revelations of the scriptures with a carnal mind, rather than have the Spirit of Truth lead them into the truth of the scriptures. Many of them wanted to use these false revelations for financial gain or to establish themselves as teachers amongst God’s people. The Lord is about to fully expose the rapture lie and the seven-year tribulation lie and reveal the truth to His people, in order that they might not be ignorant of the times and seasons of the Lord. Many will say that it isn’t important and that it will all just work itself out, but that is because many do not love the truth, nor do they wish to leave their doctrines of escapism and ease. The Lord wants His people to be aware and ready for the “day that know man knows”.

“The Day That No Man Knows”

Matthew 24:36
36 But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.

Many have taught that when Jesus spoke these words to His disciples, that He was referring to a day that was only known by the Father in heaven. This is an error. This was a specific day that Jesus was referring to on the Jewish calendar. He was idiomatically referring to Rosh Hashanah. We know this for two reasons. The first reason is because the ancient Jewish or Biblical calendar was primarily a lunar calendar, very different from today's Jewish calendar. The current calendar is set by a mathematical computation that has been in use for approximately 1700 years. Hillel II initiated this calendar due to a breakdown in the previous system. Up to this time the beginning of each month (Rosh Chodesh, literally Head of the Month) was set by a visual sighting by “two witnesses” before a rabbinical court. These witnesses had to be of upstanding character, meeting qualifications very similar to those listed in the third chapter of First Timothy concerning elders. They presented themselves before the Sanhedrin of which the Nasi or president then declared the New Month as having begun. The importance of the sighting of the New Moon was considered to be so imperative to the religious life of Israel that these two witnesses were allowed to travel on horseback great distances even on the Sabbath.

The coming of the New Moon was absolutely essential to the structure of the religious life, for God had commanded the observance of certain days as Moedim, Appointed Times. These Moedim were also known as the Haggim, Festivals. Each festival had a specific time it was to be observed. For example, Yom Kippur, the Day of Atonement, falls on the 10th day of the 7th month (Tishri). If the Sanhedrin started the new month on the incorrect day, all of Israel could find themselves observing the fast on the day before or after God had specified and feasting on the actual 10th. Therefore, the setting of each festival depended upon the decree that came forth from the Sanhedrin at the beginning of the month. Thus, each festival listed in Leviticus 23 could not be set before the arrival of the month that it was to be held in. An example of this is Pesach, Passover, which is to be observed on the 14th day of Aviv (Nisan). It would be impossible to state in the previous month, Adar, on which day of the week Pesach would fall until the Sanhedrin declared which day began the month of Aviv. Likewise, once Aviv arrived, having been instituted by the Sanhedrin from the visual sighting, it would then be known by all on which day of the week that each festival within that month would fall. Of course, this scenario would have to be repeated for each month of the year.

The seventh month, Tishri, has three inter-linked festivals. The first festival occurs on the first day of the seventh month, which of course would also be a Rosh Chodesh or New Moon. This festival is generally called Rosh Hashanah which means the Head of the Year, and is commonly celebrated as the Jewish New Year. Among most Christians this festival is known as the Feast of Trumpets. This title doesn’t fully convey the actual Biblical name of the festival, Yom Teruah, which means the “Day of the Awakening Blast”. The next festival is Yom Kippur, the Day of Atonement, and occurs on the 10th of Tishri. Five days later the Festival of Sukkot begins and is celebrated for 7 days from the 15th of Tishri through the 21st. An additional day is attached to Sukkot but is viewed as being separate from these 7 days. This day is known as Shimini Atzeret, the Eighth Day and occurs on the 22nd of Tishri. Therefore, once the Sanhedrin has set the Rosh Chodesh for Tishri, the rest of the festivals could be calculated. Rosh haShanah stands alone during Tishri, as well as the rest of the year, as being the only festival of which “no man knew the day or the hour”. It could only be determined by the decree from the court declaring that the New Moon had been spotted.

As mentioned earlier, the modern Jewish calendar is very different from the calendar used during the time of Jesus. During the age of the Temple and for a number of years following, the court would declare the beginning of each month. Each month, following the decree of the Sanhedrin, signal fires were lit from the top of a mountain letting Jews in the far distance know that the New Month had begun. In turn, additional fires were lit from mountaintop to mountaintop. However, complications arose from the enemies of the Jewish people. The Samaritans and others began to light signal fires from the tops of the mountains several days before and following the expected time of the New Moon causing great distress to the entire Jewish world. It was for this reason that the sages under the guidance of Hillel II (c. 360 C.E.) worked out the arrival of the New Moon based upon mathematical computation.

Other than the mathematical computation for the arrival of the New Moon, the new calendar differed from the previous one in another way. The new calendar took into consideration the religious convenience of the worshippers and allowed that certain festivals could not fall upon certain days of the week. For example, Hoshanna Rabbah (the last day of Sukkot) was not permitted to fall on a Saturday or Yom Kippur to fall on a Friday. By this action the courts, by means of the new calendar, were making null and void the Biblical commandment to observe the dates of the festivals at the specific appointed time. Each Moed, ‘appointed time’, was of critical importance in its relation to the Messiah, for it is on these dates that the Messiah keeps His appointments with man to achieve the restoration of man and the earth. In the Lord’s first coming, He was slain on Pesach, buried on Unleavened Bread, and He rose from the dead on the Firstfruits of the Barley Harvest. Fifty days later at Shavuot (Pentecost) the eschatological (last days) congregation received the Ruach haKodesh (the Holy Spirit) empowering them to be witnesses as the Kingdom of Heaven came down to dwell in men's hearts. The fall festivals, likewise, are the appointments for the Lord’s second coming, each teaching on different aspects of His coming, and the Messianic Kingdom here on earth.

1Thessalonians 5:1-11

1 But of the times and the seasons, brethren, ye have no need that I write unto you.

2 For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night.

3 For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.

4 But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief.

5 Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness.

6 Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober.

7 For they that sleep, sleep in the night; and they that be drunken are drunken in the night.

8 But let us, who are of the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love; and for an helmet, the hope of salvation.

9 For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvadont_use_thisord Jesus Christ,

10 Who died for us, that, whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with him.

11 Wherefore comfort yourselves together, and edify one another, even as also ye do.

The second reason we know that He was referring to Rosh Hashanah is the day that Jesus was referring to is because of the prophetic time passages in the books of Daniel, Matthew and the Revelation. Daniel gave numerous prophecies mentioning specific numbers of days at it related to “the abomination that makes desolate”.

Daniel 8:13-14

13 Then I heard one saint speaking, and another saint said unto that certain saint which spake, How long shall be the vision concerning the daily sacrifice, and the transgression of desolation, to give both the sanctuary and the host to be trodden under foot?

14 And he said unto me, Unto two thousand and three hundred days; then shall the sanctuary be cleansed.

The “twenty three hundred days”, is referred to in the Jewish scriptures as twenty three hundred “evenings and mornings”. What was being referred to were the evening and morning sacrifices. Not a period of 2300 days but a period of 1150 days that would have contained the 2300 evening and morning sacrifices. We know this from the book of 1 Maccabees in the account of Antiochus Epiphanies committing the “abomination that makes desolate” in the temple. In chapter one of 1 Maccabees we read the following in verses 54-61:

“Now on the fifteenth day of Chislev, in the one hundred forty fifth year, they erected a desolating sacrilege on the altar of burnt offering. They also built altars in the surrounding towns of Judah, and offered incense at the doors of the houses and in the streets. The books of the law that they found they tore to pieces and burned with fire. Any one found possessing the book of the covenant or anyone who adhered to the law, was condemned to death by decree of the king. They kept using violence against Israel, against those who were found month after month in the towns. On the twenty-fifth day of the month, they offered sacrifice on the altar that was on top of the altar of burnt offering. According to the decree, they put to death the women who had their children circumcised, and their families and those who circumcised them; and they hung the infants from their mother’s necks.

There are two specific dates on the Jewish calendar spoken of in this passage that are of great importance. Chislev 15 and ten days later, Chislev 25. It would be exactly three years to the day of Chislev 25 that the temple would be restored and the “evening and morning” sacrifices restored. This would become the Feast of Lights or Hanukkah (Dedication), which Jesus attended according to scripture. The date of Chislev 15 is important because it was the day the altar began to be erected. 10 days later the abominable offerings would begin but it was on Chislev 15 that it began to be erected and the daily sacrifices ceased. Now, including those 10 days, it would add up to three years and 10 days. Which in the scriptural sense would be three years of 360 days equaling 1,080 days plus the ten, giving us a total of only 1090 days. Now this doesn’t seem to add up to the 1150 days mentioned by Daniel unless you factor in the fact that the Jewish calendar is based on the cycles of the moon. And in the Jewish calendar there are what are called “intercalary” months. During certain yearly cycles, two additional months are added within a four-year period in order to keep the feasts, or the sacred days in the proper growing seasons. So, factoring for that and adding 60 days for the two intercalary months, we add up to exactly 1150 days. The scriptures use the number of 360 to refer to the number of days in a year in the prophetic time prophesies, as evidenced by the passages in Daniel and the book of the Revelation. So, the first fulfillment of the “abomination that makes desolate was fulfilled to the day and to the letter. The second one will be as well. And we know that there will be a second fulfillment of this passage, because Jesus referred to it in the following passages of scripture. Notice the specific mention in the book of the Revelation of “ten days” in the letter to the church at Smyrna

Rev 2:8-11

8 And unto the angel of the church in Smyrna write; These things saith the first and the last, which was dead, and is alive;

9 I know thy works, and tribulation, and poverty, (but thou art rich) and I know the blasphemy of them which say they are Jews, and are not, but are the synagogue of Satan.

10 Fear none of those things which thou shalt suffer: behold, the devil shall cast some of you into prison, that ye may be tried; and ye shall have tribulation ten days: be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life.

11 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; He that overcometh shall not be hurt of the second death.

Matthew 24:14-22

14 And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.

15 When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:)

16 Then let them which be in Judaea flee into the mountains:

17 Let him which is on the housetop not come down to take any thing out of his house:

18 Neither let him which is in the field return back to take his clothes.

19 And woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck in those days!

20 But pray ye that your flight be not in the winter, neither on the Sabbath day:

21 For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.

22 And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened.

So we have established the 1150 days being fulfilled in 1 Maccabees, now lets focus on the other time prophesies that Daniel and Revelation refer to and see how they are interconnected.

1260 days, 1290 days, 1335 days.

We know that the 1150 days included two intercalary months in order to fulfill the prophesies of Daniel. But they also refer to the ministry of Christ and the last three and a half year ministry of the “two witnesses” foretold of as well. We know that Jesus’ earthly ministry was fulfilled and completed on Passover. Interestingly enough, on the Jewish calendar, the feast of Passover is exactly 110 days from Chislev 25, the day on the Jewish calendar that the 1150 days were fulfilled. Those 1150 days, plus the 110 to Passover, give us exactly 1260 days. This is the day the testimony of the two witnesses will end, coinciding with the three and a half year ministry of Christ.

Revelation 11:3-4

3 And I will give power unto my two witnesses, and they shall prophesy a thousand two hundred and threescore days, clothed in sackcloth.

4 These are the two olive trees, and the two candlesticks standing before the God of the earth.

The 1290 days reserved for the completion of the “abomination that makes desolate” spoken about by the prophet Daniel and the Lord Jesus. They are merely 30 days beyond the 1260 days reserved for the two witnesses’ testimony. The Lord referred to this in the following scriptures:

Matthew 24:15

When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:)

Daniel 12:10-11

Many shall be purified, and made white, and tried; but the wicked shall do wickedly: and none of the wicked shall understand; but the wise shall understand.

And from the time that the daily sacrifice shall be taken away, and the abomination that maketh desolate set up, there shall be a thousand two hundred and ninety days.

Isaiah 66:22-24

22 For as the new heavens and the new earth, which I will make, shall remain before me, saith the LORD, so shall your seed and your name remain.

23 And it shall come to pass, that from one new moon to another, and from one sabbath to another, shall all flesh come to worship before me, saith the LORD.

24 And they shall go forth, and look upon the carcases of the men that have transgressed against me: for their worm shall not die, neither shall their fire be quenched; and they shall be an abhorring unto all flesh.

The 1335 days are also connected to the 1260 days and the 1150 days mentioned in Daniel and Revelation. 1335 is 75 more days than 1260. But those days are not at the end of the prophecy; they are in front of it. We know this because exactly 75 days ahead of Chislev 15 is Tishri 1, which is Rosh Hashanah, “the day the no man knows”. That is why those who come to the 1335 days will be “blessed or happy” according to Daniel’s prophecy.

The Lord has never had any intention of leaving His people ignorant of his purposes. This also fulfills the prophecies mentioning 42 months because if there had not been the two intercalary months, there would have only been 41 months in this same time frame. The Lord’s words are true, not one detail is left out.

Rosh Hashanah will be when the Lord starts the 1335 days and there will be two intercalary months during those days. The 1335 days for the Lord’s blessed ones will conclude on Passover three and a half years later. The 1260 days for the Lord’s two witnesses will begin on Chislev 15 and end on Passover, 1260 days or 42 months later. The 1290 days finish thirty days later, but are said to be shortened for the elects sake, and lest no flesh would survive them.

yeah that is the irony of it...you make a deal that is already made. You dont accept the lordship of Messiah and old stinky is your master. whether you beleive, accept or acknowledge that truth. Sad to say...some things are true whether you believe them or not. This simple truth is what will haunt the world before it is all over. Collect an offering? You know nothing about me, thus you speak ignorantly when you refer to me as an opportunist. If you knew just a little about me you would know I am sent against the opportunists who have time and time again fed off the innocent people searching for the truth...keep fishing though even a blind squirrel finds an corn once in a while.

This is Scott Hofstee and in response to anon I would say this. The Lord uses very strange and subtle things to speak to us. I have seen the Lord show things to me like that all the time. Seeing it doesnt make me do anything specific, it causes me to take pause and ask the Lord what He wants to say if anything in it and what my response should be if any. As with all things prophetic, if they are genuine they come to pass. So all we have to do is keep our heart open on a day to day basis and allow the Lord to guide us. True prophecy comes to pass according to the will of the Lord, not our will. A prophet is merely a messenger used to ready people and make them aware of what is about to happen.

Amos 3:7 Surely the Lord GOD will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets.

Well, simply put He told me. I always knew even from my childhood that God had put me here for a strange purpose. The Lord always had a short leash on me and my brother and I always seemed to know we were meant to minister together. It was confirmed prophetically as well. But the full understanding came early in 1999 and was confirmed prophetically by people who had no knowledge of what the Lord showed us and by the Lord Himself.

LOL! What avatar would you expect? One that exuded some brand of pseudo piety and high mindedness. This world is used to their "spiritual leaders" being men who want adulation and control over the sheep. When in reality the Lord has wanted to set people free. Twice in the book of the Revelation it is clearly stated that the God hates the doctrine of the Nicolaitans.

Rev 2:6 But this thou hast, that thou hatest the deeds of the Nicolaitans, which I also hate.

Rev 2:15 So hast thou also them that hold the doctrine of the Nicolaitans, which thing I hate.

What is the doctrine of the Nicolaitans? Its the prevalent doctrine and system of clergical control over the laity.

Nicolaitan is a combined Greek word.

Nicao is the Greek word meaning to conquer, we see see a form of this word everyday in the name brand NIKE.

Laitan is obviously the word referring to "the laity".

"conquer the laity"

The pastoral system that elevates men into places never intended by God. The clergy has assumed a place reserved for ONE, the Lord Jesus himself.

Jude 1:16 These are murmurers, complainers, walking after their own lusts; and their mouth speaketh great swelling words, having men's persons in admiration because of advantage.

So you will have to pardon me if I have no sense of needing to seem pious in order to seem spiritual.

As for the abomination that makes desolate, I would refer you to this link for a detailed description.

Here is the model of the servants of the Lord...

Mark 9:35 And he sat down, and called the twelve, and saith unto them, If any man desire to be first, the same shall be last of all, and servant of all.

Mark 10:44 And whosoever of you will be the chiefest, shall be servant of all.

Matthew 19:30 But many that are first shall be last; and the last shall be first.

God doesnt think like men do. His leaders have geater authority to serve not greater privilege to be served.

The two witnesses will not go around saying they are the witnesses of revelation like you have, they will not need to, for it will be self evident by their great and supernatural works. rev;11; They will prophesy 1260 days clothed in sackcloth, they will have fire come out of their mouths to destroy those who harm them, they will have powers to call forth weather and plagues like Moses, everyone will see their dead bodies resurrected. And they probably won't be date setting like you.
True prophets did not need to tell anyone they were prophets, Jesus did not tell anyone who he was, but showed everyone who he was. In the last days there will be many false prophets and false christs, and apparently false witnesses. Perhaps your real mission is to make known the time of the true witnesses is close, kind of like John the baptist did for Jesus. Did your ego get the best of you?

The two witnesses came back from the dead.
Just one puzzle piece, of the jigsaw whole.

So I've read the post and then had a quick look at the site but I see no evidence that the 1290 days will end on May 13 2006 as opposed to, say, October 23 7575

"tell truth" are you one of those morons that thinks that the fire that proceeds from the mouth of the witnesses is literal? LOL! Do you actually think that any of the Lords genuine servants are gonna be recognized by the world? The world didnt recognize the Lord when he was here! He said is a servant greater than his master? If they hated me they will hate you. You have some kind of saturday morning cartoon idea of what the witnesses look like because you dont hear the voice of the Lord yourself. Thus you must rely on a cursory, external observation of scripture to attempt to gain understanding. That is what makes you sound the part of an idiot. The carnal mind is enmity with God. And you are obviously as carnal as a cheese burger. :-)
