I wonder what the difference is between an MRI and a CT scan?

I was just sitting around the last couple of days thinking of getting my doctor to order an MRI to rule out brain and breast cancer.

There is a new ultrasound test for breast cancer. It appears to be pushed on doctors and hospitals right now for unknown reasons by the government. As a conspiracy theory for me it sounds like Monsanto wants a baseline on the women who have dense breasts before and after the glocophosphates take effect and cause cancer.

The test needs a radiologist that does at least 100 of them a year to be accurate.

The test causes PTSD in women.

The test gets a lot of false positives that lead to unnecessary biopsies and rarely detects cancer but it can detect cancer as small as one centimeter.

The problem is the scare women go through. This is a fairly new diagnostic test.

What is one more MRI? I have only had one and it is a one stop accurate test and I could rule out 2 kinds of cancer.

In Japan MRI tests are inexpensive. Here they are some big expensive deal.

While a normal CT scan of the chest is the equivalent of about 100 chest X-rays, the team found that some scanners were giving the equivalent of 440 conventional X-rays. The absolute risk may be small for any single patient, but the sheer number of CT scans -- more than 70 million per year, 23 times the number in 1980 -- will produce a sharp increase in cancers and deaths, experts said.

It's a crap shoot. The older you are the less time it has to get you.

I always enjoyed listening to the tones and rhythms and counting them and wondering if the doctors could see my brain keeping time with the music.

I am going to get my thyroid checked as well on my upcoming scan that the doctor hasn't thought of and insurance might not pay for.......triple hitter.

Check the brain, check the thyroid and check the breast...

I wonder how much they cost because....I am going to have a clear test to work with.

Here is my cringe, I had an asshole doctor that made me get a brain scan of my babies head because it was so large and then he scared me and said if I didn't social services would be at my house in 30 minutes.

I said the family has big heads, you can call my family doctor, big heads in my family.

He scared me and I did the scan and it was fine. That is why this article scares me.

They told me I had a brain tumor and possible psychotic delusions resulting from said brain tumor. They were wrong. But they didn't scare me because I was born fearless. So I forgave them.
