Congratulations Future XBone Players- you all won the Most Pathetic Dopes Trophy! |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 9094168 United Kingdom 06/20/2013 09:29 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | the DRM restrictions is what Microsoft want to apply, and they will - eventually. I think this was just a "test" to see if it was acceptable, so they claim to "listen to the consumer" and reverse the DRM. What will happen in future is they will add the DRM in smaller increments, for example new games which can only be played online. Just a thought. |

They should have a page on their website just for ideas from customers Quoting: Anonymous Coward 41988907 Although that would be something they would still tell us what we want instead of listening to consumers. Most xbox gamers just want a hardcore super quick shd graphics next gen machine possibly geared towards fps, driving & gta games and software that deals with the basics. |

Just a thought. ^this^ When Halo4 came out last fall there was a secondary part of the game called Spartan Ops. It was like an entirely new full game and could be played single player just like the regular campaign. I paid for it, downloaded to my hard drive, only ever played it in single player, and It was so seamless that I thought it was off line. Boy was I wrong. They ran into a server issue one night and poof, the game update that I paid for and downloaded onto my hard drive was not playable even in single player. I was pissed. "God forbid we should ever be 20 years without such a rebellion. The people cannot be all, & always, well informed... If they remain quiet under such misconceptions it is a lethargy, the forerunner of death to the public liberty... Let them take arms... What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots & tyrants. " - Thomas Jefferson in 1787 |

Microsoft is getting shit at knowing what customers want. They should have a page on their website just for ideas from customers Quoting: Anonymous Coward 41988907 If Microsoft ever give customers what they want (which they nearly did with xp and office 97/2000), their customers will have no further need for them. Microsoft need to sell a lot of new OSs every few years and make their current OSs obsolete if they intend on making a profit. They like to throw in obvious turkeys for the sheeple too. Its kind of like "a patient cured is a customer lost"... I'm a recent convert to Linux and have never regretted the switch. Anyone who wants my help to fix their computer will end up with Linux from now on. ReactOS is worth a look for those unwilling to part with NT. |

Having no option really is suspicious to what else in in the pipeline. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 29122676 I will not buy an MS console with Kinect or any other type of motion sensing or facial recognition tech. Imagine living in a gun free zone like Chicago, Your playing Xbox One and it detects your kids water gun in the CLOSET... Next comes the unannounced swat team Keep it loaded |

But just because they are NOT spying on you, doesnot mean they will NEVER spy on you. "there is too much information for them to wade through", indeed there is, but they are only listening for keywords, which will obviously be taken out of context, but mainframe computers are becoming incredibly fast, for example, how quick does SIRI reply to the request? Within seconds. In a few years the reply will be instant. |
