Article in G**rdian so i can't post link but here is the research institute direct link for the survey and charts: Quoting: insertfunnyusername [link to www.pewglobal.org] Many interesting charts that show the split between north and south within the EU regarding monetary policy, faith in EU tanking, but i found the "stereotyping in Europe" chart rather interesting, especially how most Europeans stated that their own countries are the most compassionate and least arrogant. Most trustworthy, most arrogant and least compassionate according to the survey is Germany, while the least trustworthy are Greece/Italy. [link to www.pewglobal.org] This for me shows how big influence MSM have on forming and spreading opinions/stereotypes among European citizens, something that i personally see almost daily on both Greek and German press, although i admit not as intense and inflammatory as 2 years ago, but the damage is already done imo. Oh, yes. Most Europeans are profoundly concerned about the state of their economies. Just 1% of the Greeks, 3% of the Italians, 4% of the Spanish and 9% of the French think economic conditions are good. Only the Germans (75%) are pleased with their economy. Quoting: smilesun Hey smilesun, hope you're well. Yes indeed, only in Germany the economic climate is still good, escaping capital from the south goes to Germany during the whole crisis, scientists from the south are also leaving their countries for a better future in Germany. I think we can see this trend even on glp or some other online websites from some German posters. |
