The SARS like MERS coronavirus is untreatable with both anitbiotics and the likes of Tamiflu.

There are NO known medical treatments availabe.

What is known with this coronavirus in serious cases, and we have no mild case known of, some suspected, but the WHO wont release that information.

What is known, is that the disease quickly shuts down the kidneys and also requires patients to need constant mechanical respirators to keep them alive, they are unable to breathe for themselves.

There have been a few recoveries (50%) from MERS-cov but their recovery periods have crossed over many weeks and several into many months of complete medical care.

This is possibly one of the most horrendous diseases you could imagine ever getting, and I cant stress enough to readers to learn all they can about this as it is highly likely that good knowledge just might actually save your life, it is THAT serious.

And if this goes pandemic it will be that SOON.

Wow, I'm glad they finally figured out your mom's problem. Interestingly, my mom did have sinus problems for years only to have her new dentist find that she had decades-old packing material left in her from a badly-executed root canal. They took it out and her sinus problems disappeared!

I was the first one sick in my family of five. Cough and low grade fever turned into wheezing and made breathing tough. I am mostly better after a week or so but it is hitting the rest of the family pretty hard. People at work have it too. Probably just a regualar cold, but who knows. I live near Philadelphia.

yes, the nose and mouth are SO important when checking health. My old mechanic went to dentist to have a tooth out and the infection spread and he came back missing his leg from the knee down! Weird shit like that happens more than people know.

No virus is treatable with antibiotics ever, this is the most basic thing, I can't understand why people don't know this. Antibiotics only treat bacterial infections not viruses.

Too many posts to keep up with but they are all very much appreciated and respected.

It might be time for some basics here before things get, well panicky.

This is/will be all about good hygene and good understanding of what we fear but cannot see, making protecting ourselves a bit of a mystery.

Fortunately we do know lot, about how best to survive these situations.

First, if you think that you might be coming down with a cold or flu like illness, it is immensly important to isolate yourself from other people, naturally that stops spread of whatever it is you might be getting.

Most people have sick leave available with their employment and this is previsely when it needs to be used, by doing so your workplace will be one down whis week instead of 20-100 or ??? how many next week, so you employer should be greatful, you will be saving him fortunes in lost time and productivity.

Next, if this becomes a serious threat and we will know about it, then it is important to wear proper face masks for those with an illness as well as those without one (yet!)

The minimum type are known a N95 and they will give good protection, they should be worn at all times when near-contact with other people is expected.

Next, frequent hand washing is essential, think about all those people who have coughed or sneezed into their hands then all the doors and other surfaces those hands have come into contact with.

Try now to touch you own face, mouth and eyes in particular, with your hands.

Use throw away tissues NOT handkerchiefs, for obvious reasons.
And dispose after ONE use.

Next, obtain a hand cleansing alcohol solution from your pharmacist, they arent as expensive as your life is valuable, and use it frequently.

This next point is probably one of the most simple and effective to use, but when do you see it?

If you have to cough or sneeze, do it into the crook of your folded arm, on the inside of your elbow.

This will catch most of the miniscule droplests and contain them in a place not likely to spread them further.

Its alwary good practise to maintain a personal space of around a meter (yard) from others whenever possible.

Ok I know, a bit long winded and I apolagise for that but it might save your life.

I hope its never necessary but, fore warned is fore armed.

Who are these "f _ _ ks" that create these diseases? If you google biologists who died mysterious deaths, you will find legions of them. Do you think it's possible that some evil people use these biologists to create and then knock them off so they won't talk? I honestly believe this is how these strange strains of this and that appear. I find it very believable myself. Hell's gonna be full. I believe THAT too.

Someone's also been screwing around with my wireless connection this evening (don't remember who made a thread about this topic). I'm not sure I like this wireless crap. I only got it so I could be mobile and use it when I travel, etc. I've got neighbors who steal anything that's not nailed down, including electricity and cable. They are stupid, stupid tards and I doubt if they know what they are doing. Hence, they could really screw things up with the cable connections. Tomorrow will be busy for me. I am to find out what the hell is going on. Shoot, I wish they would GTH out of this complex.
