Anomalous object(s) in NASA earth shot

seems like a glare of some sort but could be wrong but nice catch.

only reason I say that is the rainbow colors or what seems to be rainbow colors.

Could be. Also notice to the left that red dot with like a laser line eminating directly below it (but not upwards).

It seems that it is easier to put pics out for the public to see...than it is to say..."Yes...We are not alone!"

Thats what I like is the dot and red line going down.

Seems odd that it doesn't seem to appear on the other red and white dots to the left of it. Things that make you go hhmmm. After enlarging the pic, hold the control key and scroll with mouse to enlarge easier.

The rainbow thing?

Seems pretty obvious to me that it's just glare (or whatever the correct technical term for it is, it's some sort of light-induced artifact)

Out of curiosity though, what is the bright red thing to the left of the rainbow? The thing projecting a beam straight downward that people are talking about?

Anyway, I'm sure that beam is nothing... >_>. That's Mars though I'm guessing?

Edit to add: The "beam" actually extends through the whole frame. If you reverse the colors or even if you just scroll down to the very bottom of the picture, you can see the continuation of the beam over the earth if you look closely while zoomed in so it's just an artifact as well.
