What a bunch of hooligans. A Indian reservation near me sold thier sacred land and distributed 3000 to every legitimate member of the reserve.

As of 2011, Walpole island had 4300 members. That's 13 million dollars. The members lined up for hours to get thier cheques and more to immediately cash it at thier financial institutions.

Large amounts of the members were seen in hordes, travelling to nearby cities, specifically Walmart, buying expensive electronics like tvs, etc. Many others made border runs and tried thier luck at the casino.

So what, I guess, let them do whatver they want, who cares right?

Imo, I thought ditributing 13 mil like that was utter stupidity on the councils behalf, even though I guess that's technically what they do every time they sell sacred land.

Walpole island is already in financial trouble, why would they not use that huge credit to pay off thier new band office, or return the sporting activity workshops they destroyed because of lack of funding, or put money into thier education centers in consideration that they feel thier offspring are getting less coverage per student then the school kids in the cities.

13mil could have done so much for thier reserve., collectively, they seem like morans, but in the end, the government of Canada likely wanted them to burn the 13 mil in the local cities to boost thier ecomony at the native Americans expense. Clap.

Deliberate destruction of real history in favour of a manufactured (dare I say mythical) culture created to support a political agenda.

BRB buying repitrated sacred pipes out of the trunk of some guy's car.
