The ob/gyn explained that she wanted to see me in 6 weeks and she told me that 'I' might have some news for her !! (following the fallopian xray). You are my sun, my moon & all my stars. ~E. E. My spouse and I have been having complications for over a year now. Discouraging it is. I see all our associates getting pregnant or having children and it makes us depressed. We look at it this way.. God has better timing than we do lol (: Thank you for sharing!! |

We also, during the six week wait to go back to the ob/gyn used the basal body temp chart method. I'm sure you have already tried it as its a common method to track ovulation. There are also some 'position' methods that have proved quite successful. You can research that too if you haven't already. I wish you blessings and success in starting your family You are my sun, my moon & all my stars. ~E. E. Cummings |

I didn't take it for that reason, but... A month later, I got pregnant - not even the condom could stop that one! Just got married, tho, so not too untimely. Grape seed extract cleans out crap in your tissues and blood - it also got rid of an awful knot in my shoulder muscle that had been driving me nuts for years - just cleaned it out. It thins the cervical mucus and there is a lot of info that indicates it helps conceive. I've also heard of people who had trouble conceiving getting pregnant riding a roller coaster after having sex. Maybe centrifugal force helps push the swimmers where they need to go. |

That's darn near malpractice. You should get a new doctor. Quoting: Meggarea Congratulations on your two lottery wins, though! Hahahahaha. There is always room for a loved child of God. Sorry, I'm not a believer, not a breeder and not interested in having a kid, adopted or otherwise. I don't mind them, I just don't want one, and I'm tired about the obsession with breeding and breeders Western culture promotes. I think it's gross that there's so much investment in breeding when there are so many people on the goddamn planet already who need parenting. Why this intense investment by rich Westerners in medical intervention when child(ren) await good homes? We have finite and dwindling resources, and it is incredibly selfish to bring more people onto the planet given this fact. Better to adopt than breed. |

Adoption is an option that is only suitable for people with certain character qualities and strengths. Not everyone can adopt, even if they put in an application. Adoption has many challenges, just as raising your natural born children has; but the challenges of adoption would be overwhelming for alot of people. Sadly, there are many more children than there are suitable loving homes. I believe the answer lies in public education. Families armed with good information and counselling may be more apt to adopt. This would atleast increase the amount of people filing applications. You are my sun, my moon & all my stars. ~E. E. Cummings |

Sadly, there are many more children than there are suitable loving homes. I believe the answer lies in public education. Families armed with good information and counselling may be more apt to adopt. This would atleast increase the amount of people filing applications. Or perhaps stop breeding? That is the reason there are more children than homes. Why not consider adoption first? And the challenges you've faced with your medical issues would be just as overwhelming and daunting as adoption to some other families. Let's educate people to consider the ramifications of breeding long before it's an option. To sit down and do a cost-benefit analysis when the idea comes up. Look at the financial cost that are incurred in even an average pregnancy and then the cost of raising a healthy functioning child to 25 years, which is the norm given costs of higher education, etc. Look at the great cost incurred by the female who usually will have to leave or delay her career progress to have this miraculous being, a woman who might have had a bright future who is now relegated to making baby talk and washing diapers. Look at the great cost to relationships and marriages which suffer to breaking under the weight of children, even wanted. It's not about "getting preggies--yaaay!" It's about bringing another fucking person onto the planet and being financially, legally and emotionally bound to that person for upward of 20 years. Can you take a hard look at yourself during your youthful and fertile years, and still do that? In good conscience? I couldn't. |

Ride the wings of the mind User ID: 3018467 United States 04/29/2013 10:32 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | It took my spouse and I 9 long years to conceive our first child. No birth control. We looked into adoption after year 7, but were told that the wait was at least 10 years. Quoting: Almylo We were in our early thirties so that didn't seem like an option for us. Finally a family friend suggested a medical procedure that she had, had a few years back that miraculously got her pregnant. You simply go to the ob/gyn and request to have an xray of your fallopian tubes taken so that there isn't a question of 'blocked fallopian tubes' preventing the sperm from entering your womb; but the kicker is: the XRAY DYE itself that is inserted into your fallopian tubes to make them visible on the xray, miraculously at times, clears the tubes of any debris, such as scar tissue, and VOILA you become pregnant. I had never heard of that before and asked my ob/gyn and she agreed to the procedure. SIX WEEKS LATER I was finally pregnant with my first child. We called it a miracle, 'cause 9 years of unprotected sex would normally produce a baby :)) Well like I said above: I told my daughter when she was old enough (about 12) to comprehend the story of her conception, lol, that when I found out I was pregnant I felt like I had won the lottery. WE WERE MORE THAN ECSTATIC. Giddy, over-joyed, etc. Well, now the rest of the story: We certainly felt that our daughter was a 'miracle birth' and that we were very fortunate to have her; And with our history of NON CONCEPTION we weren't expecting to have another miracle. Didn't want to be greedy :)) Six months later I started to notice that I was feeling unusually queasy and extra tired. I thought to be on the safe side I should get a preggy test. IT WAS POSITIVE. WoW, we were going to have another child. Talk about excited. The grandparents went GAGA. They didn't expect any more 'miracles' either. Like some children do; our second daughter somehow felt that she was an unplanned pregnancy. Which was factual, but certainly very far from the truth. ONE DAY when she was, again 12 or 13 I sat her down and asked her a question: How would you react if you suddenly WON THE LOTTERY??? As expected, she said 'Oh I would probably faint, scream and run around outside yelling. I told her I would probably do the same. Then I asked her how do you think you'd FEEL if just A YEAR LATER.....YOU WON THE LOTTERY AGAIN???? She thought for a second and said "WOW" would that ever be coooooool !!! I then told her that's how Mommy & Daddy felt when we found out that we were going to have YOU :))) We felt exactly like we had won the lottery TWICE. I could tell from her big hug and the smile on her face that the story had hit home. She was now at peace with her place in the family. I love this story. Thank you for sharing. :) Difficulties strengthen the Mind as labor does the body... ~Seneca |
