The evidence does go together .... Boston bombing ( cu)

Watching news updates and they are showing that they have located and found the lid of the pressure cooker device . It appears to be standard 12 inch diameter and reasonably in tact with possible serial code .... Sounds good.
They have also displayed photos of a unattended bag near to where the explosion took place. The down side is the brown bag shown looks like a small bag a most 9-12 inches.... The width of the lid of the device is 12 inches ... Meaning If this device was in that bag it would have been visible to the naked eye from the photo.
