Anybody else notice that there's no traffic moving across that bridge? Traffic was pretty steady on it a couple days ago. Did China cut off trade?
 Quoting: Jazzed4Jesus

No. China will never cut off trade.

They did stop allowing travel into North Korea for tourism felt it was too dangerous.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 38076861

Tourists yes. But the trucks would still run. They would cut it off if they were trying to reign in a loose cannon who could make things messy for them. But the bridge probably shut due to their national holiday.

No. China is going against UN sanctions now a nd still continuing to fund and trade with them.china has invested too much in North Korea. Also has joint agreement to develop North Orea's natural resources, oil in the Bonhai Sea, rare earth minerals and uranium. Plus they share a border , they don't want western influences in North Korea. No matter what they say they will back North Korea 100%.

Celebrations were held I think

North Korean leader Kim Jong-un has reportedly marked his grandfather and former leader Kim Il-sung's 101st birth anniversary by paying floral tributes at his mausoleum rather than launching a missile.

According to the state-run Korean Central News Agency (KCNA), the young Kim, accompanied by top military officials, paid "high tributes and humblest reverence" to the late leader. However, Kim Jong-un himself has not been seen in public for the past two weeks.

The embalmed body of the late Kim lies in the Kumsusan Palace in Pyongyang where a military parade is expected to commemorate the anniversary.
