Re: Why the North Korean missile launch is different this time and some history of North Korea.
I have not read the whole thread, but here is a bit more info on the history of N Korea and the buildup to now .... (as I understand it)

On March 28, the Obama administration ordered and the Pentagon executed a mock bombing attack on North Korea by U.S. B-2 stealth bombers equipped to drop nuclear bombs—the most advanced nuclear-capable plane in the U.S. Air Force. In recent months, the U.S. has also used nuclear-capable B-52 bombers to simulate the bombing of North Korea.

The B-2s, each of which costs taxpayers more than $3 billion, dropped inert bombs near North Korea.

It is not necessary to speculate how the United States would react if North Korea sent nuclear-capable bombers close to U.S. territory and dropped inert bombs as part of a “war game.” By itself, this B-2 mock bombing of North Korea cost approximately $5.5 million, according to Foreign Policy magazine. The B-2 flights by some estimates cost $135,000 per hour—almost double that of any other military airplane, according to a report from the Center for Public Integrity.

The U.S. carpet-bombed North Korea for three years

It is not possible to overstate the impact on North Korea of the recent simulated destruction of their country and people by U.S. war planes.

Between 1950 and 1953, U.S. bombers carpet-bombed North Korea so relentlessly that a main complaint of U.S. pilots became the absence of anything left to bomb. By July 1953, when an armistice was signed ending open military hostilities, there was not one structure standing higher than one story left in North Korea.

More than 5 million Koreans died during the war, according to the Encyclopedia Britannica of 1967. They died from bombs and bullets. They died from disease and exposure to the cold. They died in horrific massacres committed by retreating U.S. troops, who burned “pro-communist villages” as they were fleeing in retreat from North Korea in the face of a surprise counteroffensive launched by Chinese and North Korean units in late October 1950.

It was the United States that remained after the armistice to occupy South Korea with tens of thousands of troops. The Pentagon required that its occupying troops be exempted from ever having to stand before Korean courts if they were charged with the murder or rape of Korean citizens. South Korea’s military dictators, who had earlier served as proxies of the Japanese occupation forces prior to 1945, were more than happy to oblige their new bosses.

Pentagon backed the military dictatorship in South Korea

Under the tight control and supervision of the Pentagon, a brutal military dictatorship ruled South Korea for decades.

In 1961, General Park Chung-hee, formerly an officer in the Japanese Manchuko Imperial Army during the time of Japan’s brutal colonial occupation of Korea, seized power and held it until his assassination by other military officers in 1979. Any South Korean person who said anything sympathetic about communism, socialism or North Korea was sentenced to decades-long prison terms where torture was a given.

South Korea’s current president, Park Geun-hye, is the daughter of General Park Chung-hee.

The role of the Pentagon and its continuing occupation has been decisive in Korean politics. After the assassination of Park Chung-hee, massive protests were staged in May 1980 against the military dictatorship in the South Korean city of Kwangju.

The pro-democracy movement in Kwangju was labeled “communist-inspired” and the rebellion was crushed in blood. More than 2,000 people were killed May 18 to 27, 1980. Later released secret documents revealed that it was the top brass of the U.S. occupation force that authorized soldiers of the Korean Army's 20th Division to be sent to Kwangju to suppress the protesting students.

The Pentagon and the South Korean military today—and throughout the past year—have been staging massive war games that simulate the invasion and bombing of North Korea.
Few people in the United States know the real situation. The work of the war propaganda machine is designed to make sure that the American people do not join together to demand an end to the dangerous and threatening actions of the Pentagon on the Korean Peninsula.

The propaganda campaign is in full swing now as the Pentagon climbs the escalation ladder in the most militarized part of the planet. North Korea is depicted as the provocateur and aggressor whenever they assert that they have the right and capability to defend their country. Even as the Pentagon simulates the nuclear destruction of a country that it had already tried to bomb into the stone-age, the corporate-owned media characterizes this extremely provocative act as a sign of “resolve” and a measure of “self-defense.”

As the Pentagon climbs the escalation ladder, North Korea will climb too. That is often how wars start.

The North Korea media a few days ago reported Kim Jong-un "convened an urgent operation meeting" of senior generals just after midnight, signed a rocket preparation plan and ordered his forces on standby to strike the U.S. mainland, South Korea, Guam and Hawaii, state media reported. (AP, March 29)

------------------------------

so ..... based on the above, my take on the situation is that the USA has really pissed them off about something that we have not been told about yet .... I read somewhere that Hilary had a meeting with some of the N Korean officials recently (but I may be wrong?)

I think N Korea are not playing games this time, as they have nothing to loose .... they are starving and more sanctions have been imposed on them .... it's make or break for them

as for Kim .... he is just a puppet (like Obama) ... He gets told what to say, and when to say it

Missing one, remember his own people tried to kill him less than 4 weeks ago, this is why Kim went nuts in the first place.

Say something goes wrong and a revolt starts to overthrow the government of NK, we then have a unstable nuclear power, china will invade to make sure a democratic government will not be installed on china’s border.

He is trying to rally his people around him and look like a great leader. The best way for us to “win” is to give him an out so he can claim victory vs. the rest of the world to his people and be a hero. But instead we seem to be egging him on in the last 48 hours.

I follow Nathan Hunt. He was saying that today is a bad luck day in Korean culture and the 15th wouldn't be chosen because Japan was waiting to intercept that day.

He was making out it would be tomorrow ... but they would have a parade in the morning.

I still think the 15th is more likely whether Japan is ready or not. Japan keep giving out tweets that they have already been attacked. It looks like they are ready every day.

First of all great post, I was afraid you changed your mind about making it! So 5* for you!

Secondly regarding the quote above from your post, while I agree with much of what you said China gave plans and materials for NK's nukes. China and Russia supply NK with most if their military hardware, so if China is so concerned about NK raising tensions in the region why would they do that? I think we also need to consider recent developments concerning china opening trade deals with several countries using thier own currency, and slowly edging the US out of trade partners. And how can we ignore the fact that we have been blowing up both Chinas and Russia's allies for a while now, that's gotta rustle some feathers, yet we have not heard so much as a peep from them. Lets be honest our wars in the Middle East were appetizers and we have always eyed China and Rusdia as the main course, and I think that's much the way they see us.

At some point we will pay for playing world police and china and Russia will be our judge, jury, and executioners.

whatever

No one is going to bomb anyone. If you allow B.S. like that invade your mind, then you deserve it.

Its all garbage talk. WHY? A struggling economy is usually boosted when people THINK war is imminent. Potential wars get money moving from banks into the hands of politicians and businessmen. This is what they felt that they needed to boost the economy...and here you are falling head first into their plan.

The people who perpetuate this sort of stuff with their fears, are the very people whom the elite count on.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1129812

Ummm...we pretty much bomb people and countries all the time, drone em, whatever...we also have North Korea shelling an island, sinking a ship not all that long ago too.

I understand people's fear, frankly if people weren't at least concerned, they'd either be in denial, stupid, or both.

We try and look at things from a rational point of view, weight the possibilitiess and attempt to analyze the situation based on what can be taken as fact, as many different variables that are in the realm of reasonable that could be applied and create some plausable and possible conclusions.

Or...you could just wail around squealing about how if everyone just thunked happy shiney moments that the entire planet would wondrously be transformed into big fat bowl of rainbows...and sugar coated four leaf clovers...magically delicious...

I'd rather try and have a clue about what is actually happening in the real world so that maybe I could get a handle on the direction things are going before I end up being surprised along with a few billion other "learned too laters" who are all saying, "Wut da fuck happened??" all at the same time...AFTER they get told...

Actually NK got any plans, or more along the lines of general nuke tech "Secrets" from the AQ Khan net, Pakistan...they also really haven't gotten any military hardware from Russia or China for quite some time now, they manufacture their own. Mostly yes it is knock offs, but they are not like a Syria for instance that either buys or gets supplied directly from Russia.

NK has produced it's own nuclear material to build a nuclear device..they have the reactor to produce plutonium, but as I said in another post, I do not believe that they have been succesful in producing an implosion/plutonium bomb...I believe they have detonated an HEU "gun" type Atomic device...despite of what the Intel agencies have to say.

I always say....NEVER TRUST THE RUSSIANS...but that is the long game...I also believe that we/usa/west have zero desire to actually conquer, or be in command and control of either....the whole NWO scenerio is a communist desire, not ours.

I'm also wondering why they would be fueling so many rockets if this were just going to be a test? Why is the media so on again off again on there coverage of this? And now from reading the latest stamens from Kerry we are ready to have negotiations with NK!?!?

Something stinks about all this, unless we backtrack on our stance in NK having nukes what can really come of these talks, certainly not peace.

You have Obama who took his place at the UN.

He would like world domination.

Russia is still mad about the Missile Defence Shield in Poland.

We have GMT Universal Time.

I would end daylight savings time though.

Messing with clocks is so annoying.

All in all great post SHR

Don't remember hearing about any assassination attempt, got some info on that?

March 14th this year.

Also an attempt last November.

One of the other rumors is the people are angry with Kim and his wife. As the people starve his wife runs around flashing hand bags worth a years salary for the average NK worker.

I'm only human, it's my biggest flaw.

We must all realize a sink a chair and a pillow are all luxuries of home and a soldiers helmet takes the place of all three.

Just one little tiny thing, I belive mossad could fire a nuke missile from their Dolphine submarines and let the NK take crap...but that could be a stupid conspiracy-theory, lol, but it's an ancient psy-op manipulation. Someone else will fire the missile, not Lil'Kim, but he'll be blamed for the disaster, THAT is the most logical outcome. (Like the 9-11 WTC demolition by mossad-nwo)

I want to correct myself according to my intuition.

If NK launches a missile there'll 2 missiles, a lousy one from NK and the REAL one from a (mossad-nwo) submarine, now that missile could hit the target.

It's called self-terror, (problem-solution) practised since ancient times, google. Sorry for my "crazy" conspiracy theories, lol.
