Where did the telemarketers go? | |
BRIEF
User ID: 381742 United States 04/08/2013 05:18 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | They were all getting your phone number from a single data source whom they were subscribed to. That source either rotated your name off their lineup or their web site was down. Quoting: john1054 I didn't think about the websites. That might be it, because the calls we get are robo-calls. Oh yeah, it's phone book time, which mean even though my info hasn't changed since I took over from my father in 1992, they still need to verify my company info... I never forgive and I never forget I am a licensed firearm holder. I will, under protection of law, use lethal force if attacked. |

We haven't gotten a single call since Thursday night. Where'd they go? Not that I want them back, but they've gotten better than an alarm clock. They call at 8 am every day, until now. Anyone? Quoting: Texan Buckeye your on a no-call list and wonder where they are cuz they didnt call you for almost a week?! they should never call you! lol |

If you are on the no-call list isn't that supposed to prevent you from getting telemarketer calls. Isn't that the whole point of the no-call list. I'm pretty sure you could probably sue the shit out of the company if they call you and you are on the no-call list. Either that or the government could get involved. After all it is a government no-call list. I can say with utmost certainty that I only get like 1 maybe 2 calls per MONTH, sometimes even less than that and I am NOT on a no-call list. It's almost like it's not a no call list. It's almost like a list they use specifically to call you as opposed to NOT call. It's all one big scam. Why does no one speak up about this? Obviously if you are on the NO CALL LIST then they shouldn't be ALLOWED to call you. Am I wrong or right? There must be something that can be done about this. It's along the same lines as the fucking companies that claim to be "Windows Support" but are from some place in india and all they want is your credit card info and remote access to your computer. Over and over..."What is your name? I need your last name too, Andrew" etc. I tell them I'm on the do not call list and that I need their last name because I'm reporting them. They cannot hang up fast enough and I don't get calls from that particular outfit any more. T For Texas, T For Tennessee! The virtue of courage is a prerequisite for the practice of all other virtues, because otherwise one is virtuous only when virtue has no cost. My husband could, though. You all have to read this! "You know I have nothing against telemarketers, I'm sure you're good people just doing your job but could you please take me off your call list because I don't need to be harassed by telephone calls when I'm already living through a huge life crisis! My boyfriend just left me after twelve years because he thought I cheated with my roommate who actually raped me..." This went on for fifteen minutes hahaha. the horror!!!! |

I have a couple of friends that worked for the ATT call center. They said it was the highest stress job they've ever had. They only have just a couple of minutes to work through any problems the customer might have or else they get written up. Sometimes, they couldn't fix it in a hurry, either. It pays really well, but I don't think it's worth it. |
