Re: Official Suspicious0bserver Thread [VIDEOS][UPDATED]
[0:00]
Good morning folks. No major watches, no major quaking, although that [4.9 magnitude] is above average for Nicaragua.

[0:07]
Interesting article here, especially if you are Electric Universe minded, discussing the biologic version of microbial electrical wiring.

[0:15]
Latest "droughtlook", yeah, that's a made up word [combined drought and outlook]. Many areas getting worse, a few getting better, in the green, with the southwest getting the worst of it.

[0:23]
This is the National Weather Service and NOAA's UV charts, and I will make mention of Miami and the surrounding south Florida areas; this is dangerous exposure.

[0:33]
New Zealand, drought mitigation; and northern Australia monsooning. Not much will change through tomorrow as another line of rain heads for the Shire.

[0:40]
The central part of the North Atlantic low is finally creeping to the 'UK'. You can see it spinning up the coastline here. Let's take a quick look around at some of the Euro watch zones - currently none in Ireland or the 'UK', by the way.

[1:05]
The low, of focus in the Pacific for days, has finally crested the coastline after weakening significantly. And the next low is on its way right behind him. Pop up storming in the Gulf states may continue today, as the convergence swings up the eastern states, and might intensify tonight, at the tail, with severe weather in the south-central and Gulf states. [1:24] Taking a quick six month look at the Gulf Stream.

[1:28]
Solar wind speed and temperature, the yellow and green, falling slightly as the intensity of the solar wind fades. No geomagnetic indicators or energetic flux at the moment.

[1:38]
The umbral fields did a neat dip, tilt, and disappear on the back side yesterday. Bottom left - the green coronal opening gets much bigger as it happens. Flattened out, the vanishing act looked like 'this'. Now, veteran observers are getting a bit nervous, because they remember the last time that happened; you can see it 'here'. I'm going to play it through again with the dates up top. This coincided with the first major uptick watch of the year, the largest actual uptick of the year so far, and the first 8-pointer we had in months [Santa Cruz Islands, February 6th].

[2:07]
This sunspot is a beast, but it is not flaring. I'll take a moment to highly recommend you watch a video of mine called "The Next Mini Ice Age", as it is intimately related.
["The Next Ice Age - An Introduction to a Possible Shift Soon" @ [link to www.youtube.com]

[2:18]
Here's a good shot of that active region headed in. Now, swinging in here you see some bright, but tiny active regions; some thin, dark plasma filaments; but also a large, dark coronal hole. We will likely see this or the previously indicated growing southern opening we viewed in green on the umbral field diagram. I'll leave you with 171 and 193 Angstroms, followed by a beautiful erupting filament in 304. Eyes open, no fear, it's 6:20 AM Eastern Time and that's the news. Be safe everyone.

Re: Official Suspicious0bserver Thread [VIDEOS][UPDATED]
[0:00]
Good morning folks. You can see heavy rainfall in Northern Australia, more water vapor trying to make it to New Zealand. But the high pressure lingering over much of the area will have things mostly calm. Yesterday, one observer remarked that the high pressure over the 'UK' looked strong enough to block the huge, Atlantic-spanning low. And how about that, spinning due north just off the coast line.

[0:26]
Here's a quick look at your warnings. This link, and one for everything said and shown, is in the description box so you can find this stuff on your own.

[0:34]
Something interesting - the month of March, fully updated. We witnessed twice the cold records as heat records, and nearly 250% of the precipitation records. That last part holds true over even longer scales. Heat and cold are breaking the books, but both below the rain and snow.

[0:52]
Out west will contrast near calm with downpours and snow, based on your locale. Clouds aren't doing anything unpredictable. The severe watch zone tonight, as always, is at the leading edge of the low pressure. Exact location is likely to change, so check it again after lunch.

[1:07]
Couple unusual seismic notes: Iceland has not seen an earthquake like this in a long time [5.3 magnitude on April 2nd]; Katla, a volcano there, is one of the few things that worries me. I had said the Canary Islands took their largest quakes since the volcano erupted in 2011, when larger ones used to happen regularly, and that fact was confirmed by the Spanish authorities yesterday.

[1:27]
But the prime story, especially veteran observers of the watch factors. This is yesterday afternoon. The green opening set the coronal hole in an Earth-facing position. The largest coronal hole, up north, is partially blocked by umbral fields; we'll likely see only its wind stream. But the southern opening has no such restriction. By lunchtime in Columbus, Ohio the comment section was already talking about it. It was not for some hours later that Japan took a 6.0 at 18:53 UTC. And let's focus on timing - 18:53 UTC. Solar wind metrics appear to be dropping off, but around 19:00 yesterday, the solar wind began showing unstable readings. You should all know by now, however, space weather can affect Earth well before the solar wind arrives.

[2:13] Here you see a sharp change to the induction, but an hour before the destabilized solar wind. This was around 18:00 UTC. It only seems odd if you don't know space weather.

[2:24] Let's look at the energetic flux it caused. This is the 'ACE' proton count, we show one spike right around 19:00. Zooming in - the little hashes are exactly ten minutes, so when we come to look at the beginning of this energy spike, I see 18:50, maybe 18:51; this is about ten to twelve minutes before that solar wind spike, and about 2 minutes before that Japan quake. Folks, this is not conspiracy or fringe science. I have shown the electroquake studies, and one day, static monitors should give us minutes to hours warning of specific locations to be hit. I know some governments are already talking about it. As you can see, the destabilization was very short-lived. Inductions disappeared as the solar wind died down, and no plasma penetrated during that event.

[3:08]
The Earth Footprint, our magnetic connection, is the reason space weather can arrive before the solar wind streams, and it is set near the departing active region on the northwestern limb. On the right you see the connectivity is strongly at that location. Now, normally we'd worry about particle flux from a flare on the Footprint, but the Sun is quiet, has been for some time. If she's gonna pop, smart money says it's either going to be this big beta spot on the south, which is so close to delta on the back side of the positive blue, or it's going to be one of these active regions up north. And this one, out here in front, was born last night and spreading quickly.

[3:41]
Last thing to point out, a tiny filament eruption near center disc. It produced a very small CME, which likely won't even be detectable amidst the coronal hole stream, but which does look amazing up close. Eyes open, no fear, it's 6:25 AM Eastern Time and that's the news. Be safe everyone.

Re: Official Suspicious0bserver Thread [VIDEOS][UPDATED]
[0:17]
Good evening folks. You are looking at scenes of Arctic ice melt and aspects of air oscillation that they believe also play a role in this shift. It's a video by NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center. We tracked the Arctic ice since 1979. Few important things to note; Antarctica hit a record high for ice just one year ago, and the Arctic winters have been tending to rebound quickly after summer ice loss. But the trend is unquestioned, at least up north, and that ice is disappearing.

[0:46]
Seismologists are somewhat concerned about the recent Iceland quake swarm. Last great activity there was 150 years ago. Canary Islands have maintained one of the largest swarms since before the underwater volcano was born. And a complex emergency in Haiti where 10 million people are on the verge of starving.

[1:05]
High pressure in the Southern Hemisphere moves counterclockwise, which will cool off New Zealand a bit. Greece and other parts of the Mediterranean have some rain, wind and storm warnings; forest fire danger in Norway as well. Argentina's death toll raised to dozens, some drowning in their cars. But the top weather threat has returned to the 'US'. As stated in the evening update yesterday, Florida better be ready for twisters. Check local radar and tornado warnings today, please.

[1:35]
The solar wind bottomed out just after that evening update, and is slowly strengthening now. We saw another proton spike as the speed began to ramp. Luckily the only shaking produced was of the inductive nature, as simultaneous resonance.

[1:49]
Earth Footprint exiting on the north. Right of that shows all connectivity there save two, which are connected near the large active region down south. Quite a few active regions appear to have complexity, but the flaring is still nil.

[2:03]
Venus and Mars are the two bigger objects to the left of the Sun, and they conjoin quite soon with a New Moon not too long after. All this while the umbral fields open wide and allow coronal openings to face Earth. This begins now as the coronal hole faces us ever-closer to the equator.

[2:19]
March 28th through April 3rd had one 6-magnitude quake, according to the USGS archive. That eight day lull, which included the 188 day conspiracy nonsense, should be ending as the real factors do present themselves over the next week. I'll leave you with an erupting filament, a few more dancing on the Eastern limb, and some sunspot close-ups. Eyes open, no fear, it's 6:15 AM Eastern Time and that's the news. Be safe everyone.

[0:00]
Good morning folks. My wife and I watched the pre-sunrise sky after the news, and we thought we'd share yesterday's with you. Very beautiful mornings in Ohio right now.

[0:09]
This is a time-lapse of Io. Jupiter's Volcanic orbiter apparently does not maintain activity where scientists expect it. Essentially, they expected one heat distribution, but found the opposite.

[0:20]
After a two month maintenance shut-down, an unidentified issue caused another shutdown at the Kori Station.

[0:26]
Wind gusts took out a barn in Oregon last night.
A bit south there is a mass sea lion die-off.
5.4 [magnitude] is slightly above average for this part of Mexico.

[0:36]
Speaking of quaking, the Canary Islands have finally died back down; over a day since the last 4-pointer, only a handful of tremors yesterday and not much at all today.

[0:45]
Same high pressure system driving Antarctic breeze to New Zealand is stealing some of that North Australian moisture to bring through the center of the country.

[0:53]
Europe is largely feeling the aftermaths of that storm that spanned the Atlantic. Warnings across the continent, but few as rough as Spain right now.

[1:01]
High pressure in Texas, spinning outward and counterclockwise [sic - meant clockwise], as they do in the Northern Hemisphere.

[1:07]
Low pressure out west driving counterclockwise, but over a larger area so we just see the sweep up to Canada; but you'll likely see it meets resistance. We got lows in the east, also driving counterclockwise so its left side pulls south from Canada, and the convergence of the two will see that roughest precipitation in the middle.

[1:26]
The Low continues to crest the coast from B.C. to Baja, and South Florida might take some left over severe weather from this cell here.

[1:34]
Sunspots look ready, but still no major flaring. Down south was fierce on the backside, but quiet facing Earth. Up north we have good complexity, but no will to pop.

[1:44]
The largest signature on this chart actually came from behind the northeastern limb.

[1:49]
This is starting to get aggravating. Come on, guys, if you're going to hide the charts, hide them. Not only are they still taking the readings, and not giving them to us, but they seem to be getting bigger.

[1:59]
Possibly the scariest solar wind numbers I've seen, and that's incredible because we're on the low side. Folks, this is "prima facie" [sufficient to establish a fact] evidence of solar magnetic shutdown. Such weak buffeting that it is negatively affecting Earth's magnetic field. This resonance has endured since the solar wind began dropping like a rock.

[2:17]
Now lets switch to some good news. I thought the quake uptick would begin yesterday, based on how wide open the coronal opening was, but as I've said about a dozen times - it's the umbral field that does the timing for me now, and she decided to shut up shop just hours after yesterday's news. It remains firmly closed, and the quakes will have to wait.

[2:35]
The umbral field doesn't stop coronal hole solar wind streams though; we expect one to impact between now and Sunday, which is when the planetary alignments you can't see begin to unfold.

[2:44]
Mars and Venus conjoining near the Sun. While the Moon swings in past Mercury, Uranus to conjoin the Sun. Mars and Venus in about a 12 hour period on April 10th and 11th.

[2:54]
I'll leave you with the Sun. No major Earth-directed CMEs, just enjoy the visuals. Eyes open, no fear, it's 6:55 AM Eastern Time and that's the news. Be safe everyone.

Here is the transcription for April 6, 2013:

[0:00]
Good morning folks. First, Fukushima. Officials say radioactive water may have been, or be, leaking from the underground containment areas. They're also having cooling malfunction issues.

[0:13]
Apart from a slight cool down in New Zealand the last few days, top story here is in Northern Australia where thunderstorms are severe.

[0:20]
Got various weather emergencies across Europe. Now, while we check out a few selected areas, remember to check your local forecast for the best weather. These macro overviews are not meant to supplement [meant not to replace, and they are to supplement] any of the resources shown or linked in the description box, and you're highly encouraged to click those links and get your local information.

[0:38]
In the United States, the most powerful pressure cell is nearly dead center of the country. It's a strong low. It is driving the air counterclockwise, and going to make an early spring feel like summer across the eastern half of America. It'll also be bringing storms and rain. Let's take a quick look out over the Pacific.

[0:55]
Folks, we finally got some flaring; an 'M2' solar flare occurred on the northeastern limb, emanated from a newly crested active region with magnetic complexity. Facing Earth will, indeed, test his character, but the CME produced will likely miss Earth as the producing flare was still near the edge of the disc.

[1:12]
Speaking of sunspots, tough to imagine there might not be more coming, even with us tracking two years of Maunder-mirrored solar shutdown of the active region's flaring and magnetism. The birth and morphing of these spots is indicative of strong instability, and we might even get some of those bigger flares.

[1:29]
Back at Earth: The solar wind is no longer scary low. This is ambient, normal space weather, although recovering from that slow spurt did cause energetic flux at Earth.

[1:38]
You will remember Mars and Venus began their conjunction and are actually ready to part momentarily. Meanwhile, yesterday's umbral field tightened up, but could not close completely. Watch up at the top for the time stamp. Its Earth-facing position in the middle of the day, combining with solar wind changes, and the planetary conjunction to kick off the quake uptick with a 6.2 [magnitude] on the border of China; Russia; and, actually, North Korea.

[2:01]
For those who made the comments yesterday, that was a terrific job spotting the thin protrusion; that sliver that crosses the equator of the Sun, and happened to be nearly center-disc. I'll even admit to some surprise at how well this works [the quake prediction factors, I believe]. Even a closed umbral field wasn't going to stop the central opening from being geo-effective. When we lay the field atop the "SDO AIA 211", we see that the opening was very Earth-facing.

[2:27]
Then, while I slept, Helioplots across the planet began picking up L-waves ripped out of the epicenter of a powerful 7-magnitude earthquake that struck Indonesia a few hours ago. There are no tsunami warnings.

[2:39]
Let's hope this is all we get. But, as you know, the Moon has a few stops to make in the coming days before the alignments take a break. The coronal hole is still geo-effective, and the previous coronal hole solar wind stream is about to become geo-effective. The quake uptick watch continues. Eyes open, no fear. It's 6:45 AM Eastern Time and that's the news. Be safe everyone.

Thanks again for all your support!

I like to bump it in the evening too, so that the people who get on after work can see it, as I post it bright and early in the morning.

Since we don't get much discussion here, which is good for keeping it neat and clean, it often gets thrown to the dark side of GLP until I update it in the morning.

Thanks again and take care.

Re: Official Suspicious0bserver Thread [VIDEOS][UPDATED]
Here is the transcription for the April 7, 2013 news:

[0:00]
Good morning folks, major climate event. You remember our powerful low in the north-central states yesterday? These drive counterclockwise, as seen on hint.fm's "Wind Map". [ [link to www.hint.fm]] - Wind Map]
It's an educational piece of artwork that can help you understand the air drive of pressure cells; it's updated hourly, so you will need to click the links in your own time. Now, veteran observers know that even a low north of the Canadian border can pull up from the Gulf. Well not only do we have such a powerful low pulling north now, we have another low in Hudson Bay. This is strong enough to get the warmth pulled up the leading east edge which is not captured by the helix, and is instead sheared further north. You can see that spin in Hudson Bay here [0:37] as well. This is a direct line from the Gulf of Mexico to the Arctic Circle.

[0:44]
Taking a quick look at the next set of storms coming to the 'US'. More snow, unfortunately, so eastern states enjoy this [the nice weather] while it lasts.

[0:52]
Southwest Pacific: Minor rain events at New Zealand, but no severe watches as of now. That's the high pressure sitting between countries.

[1:00]
One low putting her finishing touches on Greece, the other cresting the continent now. Greece is looking at major rain and wind warnings, same with Bulgaria, while Italy might see some lightning. And north, from Germany to Finland and back across to the 'UK', is still spotty blizzard conditions and cold.

[1:15]
Lastly, on weather, we have a new cyclone in the Indian Ocean; not terribly large yet, but strengthening fast and expected to become dangerous as it approaches Madagascar.

[1:25]
Coming to the Sun - since the 'M-flare' cresting the limb, the Earth-facing quiet tracked for two years here has held form with the sunspot count in the hundreds, but nothing above a 'C2-flare'. We have some magnetic mixing, up here, but he's headed for the back side. South of that we have a big, blue positive polarity umbra that went silent when she caught a glimpse of Earth. But up here [northeast limb] we have our next contestants. The magnetic complexity, the mixing of positive blue and negative red, is what indicates flare potential, and I see the most potential up top. Just crested yesterday, the source of the 'M-flare' two days ago has also kept his mouth shut while in our house, but boy does he look like he brought some toys.

[2:04]
Bartol: Still not updated, but on the right you can see the Muon count's above 101; 102 is the highest I've ever seen them.

[2:11]
Solar wind beginning to show a disturbance at the end with the yellow and orange rising; perhaps a minor coronal hole stream before a bigger one. You can see how that affects the shields after two days of very quiet space weather; a visibly nice whack to our magnetosphere, with some auroral activity as well.

[2:29]
Something unfortunate is the lack of availability of the 'GONG' site right now. For new observers, we have determined that their showing of the umbral field atop a Carrington rotation is the best measure of how the dark coronal holes are either blocked by a magnetic field, or are allowed to spew forth and potentially have a great effect on Earth. This has been shockingly reliable for judging the beginning of quake upticks tracked here and, indeed, kicked off our latest watch less than 36 hours in. As you look at the largest quakes of the first half of this seven to eight day watch, remember that the previous eight days had no watch whatsoever, and only one 6.0 [magnitude] and was a below average time for shaking.

[3:06]
To finish this watch we continue to monitor those coronal holes, but we also note that the New Moon includes a few other conjunctions in a short span. The watch will likely end April 11th or 12th.

[3:15]
And speaking of quakes, the Canary Islands had me convinced last night they were done. After hundreds of quakes a day, it cooled down April 4th; only 3 on April 5th; one on April 6th, but we are picking back up today, and already have a 4-pointer.

[3:29]
Hopefully, going from one 6.0 in eight days, to a 6.2 and 7.0 in less than 24 hours is the only uptick we get. I'd gladly take a failure on the second half of the watch if it meant no more deaths. Leaving you with some shots of our star. In addition to quakes, I'm fixating on the new active regions. Eyes open, no fear. It's 6:30 AM Eastern Time and that's the news. Be safe everyone.

Re: Official Suspicious0bserver Thread [VIDEOS][UPDATED]
[0:10]
Good morning folks. I'm going to show Earth's North Pole momentarily, but, in truth, the plasma dance on the North Pole of our star is a bit better looking.

[0:19]
Last year springtime heralded in a wave of polar rumbling, and I'm gonna go ahead and say this was pretty far north. Moderate start, like last year.

[0:28]
Heat wave in India; they'll take it, actually, after being the poster children for hail and cold records set this winter.

[0:35]
Cyclone Imelda, still gaining power in the Indiana Ocean, and on a bee-line west to the coast.

[0:41]
As night falls in Australia, Antarctic chills making their way to New Zealand make themselves a bit more obvious. Some severe precipitation isolated in Northwestern Australia, and hopefully this is coming down a bit on New Zealand drought zones.

[0:55]
Europe seeing many lows punching off the bigger one off Nova Scotia's coastline. These keep it coming down in the south, and continue driving blizzard conditions elsewhere in the region. Click the link to check your situation.

[1:08]
Been showing the Pacific for days. Next cell is here. You see the warning zones and the big, red "L's" at the low pressure system; it's massive, slightly unpredictable. Just like the Wind Map, the threat areas seem to be changing every hour; so you must pay attention to your local forecasts.

[1:24]
I'd also like to show you NOAA's new weather tool (of course it is linked for you below); got a seven day window and all the metrics. After messing with this a bit, I found that I prefer the satellite imagery. We can get rid of some other things, totally up to you, by the way. Want to know where it's going to rain or snow today? Check the green. You can also get a hazard map too, but I actually prefer their old one.

[1:47]
Shifting to space weather, where we're sans [without] a gamma burst in over ten days. Bartol is back...sort of. The readings appear normal, but I find it suspicious that other metrics have shrunk down to near invisibility. Apparently this is the first machine ever to be fixed simply by making the readings look smaller.

[2:04]
We got two big active regions here, two headed for the limb out of sight. The big boy down south disappointed us by closing shop for flares when cresting into view, but now that Earth is directly connected there, we want zero activity, period. Still headed in are Beta, Gamma, Sneezy, and Doc; all still sleeping though, but with the magnetism to fire away if they decide to wake up.

[2:26]
We've had no such luck this cycle, though. And yes, we have avoided a mega solar blast, but we're also not getting the mid-size flaring Earth desperately needs.

[2:26]
Ah, the umbral fields. Got my 'GONG' back last night. Central opening not fully opened yet. Kind of tough to call, even tougher with the field atop the SDO AIA 193.

[2:46]
Solar wind appears relatively benign. No major speed or density flux, but, in the green at the bottom, around 17:00 or 18:00 the temperature of the plasma goes from 1,000 to over 10,000 kelvin in short order [successive increases without interruption]. And despite this little spike here, it does trail off quickly this morning.

[3:04]
Nothing broken on this machine [induction magnetometer]. 2.5Hz induction resonance from about 17:00 or 18:00 to waning this morning.

[3:13]
Part of the past few videos, the Moon has five conjunctions to make in the next three days. During that time, the solar wind stream from the last Earth-facing coronal hole will strike our planet. Watch continues through the 12th. Eyes open, no fear. It's 6:30 AM Eastern Time and that's the news. Be safe everyone.

Re: Official Suspicious0bserver Thread [VIDEOS][UPDATED]
[0:02]
Good morning folks. You are looking at the latest from NOAA's Environmental Visualization Lab. This labeled image is derived from NASA's Earth Observatory and features the breath of an Arabian sandstorm.

[0:16]
Since the 6.2 and 7.0 [magnitude] Earthquakes that kicked off the watch, the closest thing we've had to seismic news is the quieting of the Canary Islands; only a few minor tremors yesterday, nothing of the magnitude we've seen in previous days.

[0:30]
Weather today, focusing on severe threats: Imelda, in the Indian Ocean, is expected to break dead south towards Antarctica; lets hope she does that soon.

[0:39]
Closer to northwest Australian coastline, we have another cyclone; yet unnamed as of now, but also expected to head due south here.

[0:48]
Based on pressure and precipitation, the only severe threat for you today is in northeastern Australia.

[0:54]
Europe has quite a few weather watches as a result of this string of lows; link to the MeteoAlarm is below. [ [link to www.meteoalarm.eu]]

[1:00]
Left: You see the leading edge of the precipitation, which promises a white April for parts of the US. The moisture is driven by a powerful, counterclockwise-driving low in the central states; the convergence is strengthened by a clockwise-spinning high just north of that. Those opposing wind drives collide in the center, and I gotta think tonight's watch zone is bigger than that yellow area we just showed earlier.

[1:22]
The US Wind Map updates hourly, so check it after lunch time along with your local warnings; as tornadoes are expected tonight.

[1:31]
We had gone more than ten days without a gamma burst, finally got one yesterday out of the Southern Celestial Sky.

[1:38]
Flaring is holding in the low C-range. And despite the lack of Earth-facing activity for months (and, of course, never hoping to see a mega X-flare), I am very hopeful to get more M-flares with this many sunspots peppering the disc.

[1:51]
Now, although CMEs from departing spots will miss Earth, let's see if we can't get some of that flare energy as another spot leaves the Earth kicking and screaming (after acting like a Lady the entire time she faced us).

[2:02]
The big spot up top - the middle appears magnetically separated, but if you look in the center you see some mixing starting at the southern portion.

[2:10]
Just to the left of that (or the East, on the Sun), we have a discombobulated magnetic mess that is also holding his tongue for the moment; probably worth keeping an eye on the new guys as well.

[2:21]
The Umbral Fields appear to strengthen in an Earth-facing position. We do have the next set coming in behind, which appears black on the bottom left: here [2:28].

[2:30]
Even without coronal holes Earth-facing, this quiet solar wind belies the power of the coronal hole stream that is set to impact Earth; as usual, three to four days after the hole faces Earth. And around the same time, the Moon is finishing up this string of conjunctions in a short time period. Now, that's still [only] two of the factors, still hoping to have a quiet second half of the watch.

[2:51]
By the way, ain't she beautiful?

[2:54]
Various shots of our star to close out. Eyes open, no fear. It's 5:15 AM Eastern Time and that's the news. Be safe everyone.
