I've always enjoyed Disney movies and entertainment, and I have no qualms with allowing my kids to watch it as well. I think it is a perfect example of where the mainstream media and progressive culture have detached from wholesome family principles and ideals. They want to discredit Disney because they feel threatened by the conservative message that they project, yet they seek underhanded and deceptive ways to do it. It's where the lost, never to be found, wind-up. Amy Winehouse in mouse ears. Little Britney too. It's the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, come inside and try to hide. |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 36682502 United States 03/22/2013 10:13 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Disney always gave me the creeps even as a little kid, same with the Wizard of Oz, and that was before i became a conspiracy freak. I always got a bad feeling with all of it, and I still do. I remember watching Bambi and Fantasia and just freaking out over it. Wicked stuff. I never let my child watch any of that growing up. I know adults that are crazy into the whole Disney thing. In a major way it's never been for me. |

User ID: 18472095 United States 03/22/2013 10:26 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Agreed. On the surface, it's a money making machine and racket like all others. Control the Disney tv network and radio. Get the kids young. Consumers ripe for the picking. Push the merchandise, the shows, and then the singers and songs from said shows. Grab the kids and tweens in one nefarious net. But underneath all that (the obvious money grab) something darker is working. Subliminal, insdious, and evil. Mom's are dead or killed off. Father's are weak fuck-ups. The hero against dark forces, but the dark forces get equal billing. Plant the seed. Toil the soil. Monsanto of the mind. Let's take the big red boat on a three hour cruise. There's a raffle for the soul below deck. Thanks, we'll pass. But best to goofy. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 1634496 United States 03/22/2013 11:21 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | i worked at disneyland for 14 years - it was an incredible experience - supporting the park provided a great many opportunities to hone or learn new skills that i still use to this day. one of my fave experiences would be the daily inspection of the park on a bicycle in the wee hours before the masses were let in. i understand the whys/hows some people would not like what Disney represents (as it's strayed quite a bit from Walt's vision). All in all, we really did care about our guests - especially the children. Disney's movies and cartoons were a huge influence on me growing up so it was an honor to participate in passing along some of that magic. |

That's the only thing synonymous with American culture...it has been known for ever that Disney was a testbed for societal control devices such as currency and RFID tracking and all that jazz. Was anything any of them said untrue? You can't tell whether it's pro/con for left/right? Maybe it's neither? Not everything's left or right. Love you guys but your left/right obsession I find both annoying and frickin' hilarious at the same time. |
