Other weird signs the "big one" might be soon!! Interesting! I live in New Hampshire, Seacoast area. Yesterday we had a winter storm with lots of heavy, wet snow, sleet, winds. Flocks of red wing blackbirds, purple grackles, starlings were in my backyard. I filled up my bird feeders three times...hardly a seed left on the ground. Today, there were hardly any birds. My dog was very nervous yesterday, but she's afraid of storms. By the way, i used to live in Michigan...great bird watching area. |

Other weird signs the "big one" might be soon!! Yea it's weird for sure right now. Saturday I saw the first robins in my backyard and we got 2 inches of snow on Friday night! Last year this time when it was warm I don't remember seeing nearly as many migrators back this early. Started really noticing them back in the area early last week. Primarily I noticed a bunch of divers (mergansers) which I thought was odd seeing how they need open water to feed... Problem is everything is iced up still! Hundreds of divers alongside geese and ducks were all huddled in a small open spot of the lake north of me a ways. Seems like they are confused right now, for some reason there biological compasses seem off for this time of year. |

Quoting: GT500 Any chance you saw the auroras on Sunday morning?? I saw them around 4am pretty good at my place outside Flint. W the light pollution here and our latitude thought it was pretty cool. I've always been into space weather and have seen the northern lights 4 times since oct of 2011 here in flint. I understand were in solar max right now but still waymore than I've noticed in the past, kinda weird they are coming farther South lately. |

Other weird signs the "big one" might be soon!! East coast LI here. Last night and today something just feels off. We had this squall line come through last night that let out one massive flash of lightning and thunder that was real low frequency rumble. It was weird because it was 34 degrees and crystal clear when it came roaring in from the northwest. I don't know how to explain it but something is most definitely afoot. There is an undercurrent of energy moving around along side the vernal equinox that I haven't felt in awhile. Thanks for the heads up OP. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 4423947 In California and all pets and birds are acting fine. OP is a quaketard and a doomnerd. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 4423947 Lol, I was just pointing out some odd occurrences lately that have happened here in the Great Lakes region. I never said Hey california get under a desk now!! I do not know what out of the ordinary events are happening in cali nor do I claim to, i based my claims and always do on what i have personally witnessed here in my area where ive noticed odd things not typical in my 30 years. I'm always one to pay attention and most times, not everytime significant regional weather patterns or natural events happen soon after. It always has something to do w some sort of geomagnetic disturbances which seem to cause a terrestrial weather or seismic related event in the region of the disturbance. Not a doomtard or a quake tard, just trying to give a little input and maybe help other people open there eyes to possible events that may be linked. And this is the first time I have ever posted on GLP about anything remotely doom related, thanks for the input. Have fun paying for your overpriced gasoline, and have fun guessing what day your mighty quake will actually occur and your state is no longer part of the continental US. After all you must be wondering... You looked at this thread! Ps everyone else in Cali is cool except for this jerkoff |

Other weird signs the "big one" might be soon!! OP I noticed weird stuff with animals today. Deer, fox, racoons, etc out in the open walking around, walking in the streets! It wasn't even dusk. I was driving about a 12 mile stretch watching this. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1512435 Lol that just made me remember a squirrel I had in my back yard last week.. Walked around all disoriented and shit. It may have been hit by a car but the roads pretty far away. It was so out of it when I let the dog out it literally walked right up to her... Where she immediately shook it violently and killed it (she's been trying to get that bastard for 2 years) lol. Either way I didn't know what to think, I even called the vet just to make sure my dog was up to date on her rabies just in case the squirrel was sick or something. Unlikely, but maybe it was disoriented from something else I don't know if squirrels are even affected in that way. I can tell you for sure the fishery around here has been severely fucked up the past 2 seasons though. |

Yup, just glad to see that odd things are happening elsewhere and I'm not the only one noticing. A lot of dumbasses out there who never care to take a look or open there eyes to shit that happens everyday around them. Oblivious to the world they live in, kind of scary and sad that so many people don't care about anything around them until its too late. |

Thanks for the heads up OP. key words for the Erie, Pa, area: "something just feels off" All the birds had begun to come back but it has been a Lake-Effect of snow and stop, snow and stop, snow and stop, and now the temperature is dropping, and the snow isnot so snow and stop, and instead accumulating like it were Winter or something. All the many birds are gone. I love snow but: This snow-and-stop-snow-and-stop has been going on for too long and beginning to really really really get on my nerves. Everytime i go to step out the back door i have to sweep the snow off the steps, but now it is i have to shovel that white sht off my steps. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 4423947 ^ ^ ^ I think this guy is a little jealous and angry that's all. I mean come on, i would hold a grudge too if i had to make a conscious decision on whether to elect Arnold Schwartzinegger or Gary Coleman to govern my state... Poor guy. Wouldn't you be a nervous wreck too if every day that you woke up you had to worry about either a earthquake, tsunami, mudslide or forest fire wiping your town off the map? He can't even take a dip to cool off in the ocean without worrying about a shark attack, a freak jellyfish swarm, or possible physical disfigurement from unsafe levels of radiation that the Fukushima nuclear facility graciously donated. And shit, I'd be a basketcase if my next door neighbors happened to be N.Korea, China, and Russia... In my neck of the woods an altercation with the neighbor results in a flaming bag of dogshit on the porch, his neighbors drop WMD's!! If it wasn't for this shill it wouldn't have made me realize that Flint, MI isn't the most dangerous city in the US, it's one of the fucking safest!! |
