Is there an abnormally high number of trains traveling around the east coast?

I live in southern VA and I've been hearing trains all day today. Usually they are far less frequent. I may hear one per day usually. I've heard 4 in the last hour. Seems abnormal... then again, maybe it's just that this is the first day I've had the windows opened in a while.
