It is only a matter of when. The Casacadia Fault is known for
violent EQ's. The last was in 1700. History shows a average
period between big quakes @ around every 300 years. Being a subduction zone, the North American plate is sliding beneath
the Juan De Fuca plate. The pressure is released as the North American plate trusts upward as a diving board does once the diver is in the air. All of this is under the Pacific Ocean thus releasing the forces creating a large tsunami. The 1700
event was a massive 1000 mile release and catastrophic damage
from a tsunami as far away as Japan.
This will happen again. All people can do is be prepared
and ready to react and gain high ground within 20 minutes after the EQ.

PNW has got to be the most gorgeous, primordial and alive place in the u.s.. The one place where nature can't be denied.

The Cascadia Subduction Zone will cause a massive earthquake that will destroy coastal communities and be felt as far inland as Idaho. Geologically, it's not an if but a when. The when of course could be a hundred years from now, or before I even finish this post.

Who knows, perhaps a massive earthquake will be a blessing in disguised. If every bridge is destroyed and the West Coast is in ruin, then TPTB will ignore us as worthless. We might have a chance of surviving the turmoil that the rest of the country is going through with Civil War 2. Of course we will be doing that without power or water, but not everyone on the West coast is a pansy. Some of us are determined to survive.

32 Billion would not even cover Seattle. They always underestimate things and the things to come.
