We already have that.... not officially though. cool2

In the field of Atom-engineering, the buildingblocks of life are used and it builds up anything almost like in organ-printing in 3D printers... it's about building/designing anything from the atoms up to finished product...

Alchemy.

TECH v2012: Energy, Replicators, and Starships - Adam Apollo

Our current technological development is reaching an apex, seemingly only limited by the physical constraints of this universe. Yet our entire structure of physical understanding is undergoing a massive transformation, as new theories and equations succeed in describing the spacetime fabric as a lattice of wormholes connecting everything simultaneously.

An award winning paper in Physics from the revered CASYS conference in Belgium shows that small black holes could lie at the center of every proton, and all matter, replacing the strong and weak force with gravity.

These new physics focusing on the spacetime structure reveal that we could engage and adjust the fabric itself, changing localized gravity and accessing energy in extremely efficient ways.

Science fiction technologies like replicators, free energy systems, and gravity drives now appear to be completely possible to produce.

This talk explores these new technologies emerging from recent physics insights, and the effect they would have on the entire structure of human life and society.

It also covers the practical challenges in development and implementation of these technologies from physics and engineering perspectives.

That one on the video was grown "naturally", the 3D printing tech explained in this article [link to phys.org] would literally print it from "bio-ink"

I think the whole 3D printing thing is interesting, and has many uses, not sure how I feel about it in respect to tissue, though. Guess it's just a matter of time for so many of these advancements to be applied in various ways, more or less ethical.

I'm really not sure where the line comes is. For me, this is alright, especially if stem cells can be taken/made from blood as recent research suggests. GM shit though, I don't trust. But that's a different issue.

Another potential moral issue would be, for example George Best, a footballer and alcoholic. He kept drinking after receiving a liver transplant and killed himself, that liver could have went to somebody else who may not have abused it. I don't suppose that's such an issue in the US, given unlimited organs and no donors required then sure, take as many as you need as long as you can afford a surgeon to fire it in for you.

Re: WOW!! **Researchers developing 3D printer, 'bio-ink' to create human organs **
They have already done far more then this.
Organs etc...

Basically just think 5th Element lol.

Seems thats where we are heading.

It will be used to make everything.

Materials list doubles every month now.
It gives a way of combining materials previously impossible.
Just need resolution for nano scale.
Resolution has picked up a lot tho.

Currently also working on using it to print new kinds of drugs and printing with actually DNA.

As Ray says, 3d printers can already print 70% of their parts. Mass replication will obviously follow.
(going to change the world.)

Being that Obama actually mentioned it in his Speech; he fully plans for it leading us into the future.

AutoCad recently released a free software to the public lol... You basically take 360* pic of an object that ACad will then generate into a 3d object for you for 3d printing.

The cheaper ones 1500-5000 range that are as of NOW being marketed for homes still only uses plastic and a few other materials. And the old ring ridges that most people still see. So basically atm; the resolution you want will be tha main factor in price increasing. Materials also.

Within next 5 yrs guna change the world like the PC and net did.

I just hope they allow it to do its thing.

Its guna be weird soon; patents, name brands etc...

Pirating clothing? Lol etc.

Once you let this cat out of the bag there is no way to control it...

On the darker side of things a fully automatic printed gun just fired 600 rounds. (Increasing fast.) For this reason I think is why the gun control is actually an issue.

But hey fire gave us life! And it burned down our homes...

Btw they can already Grow a replacement organ with your stem cells. I think they have done everything but heart now?
Trials already started.

They can also remove your organ and scrape all the cells off.
Then inject it with stem cells making it brand new.

Tons of crazy stuff coming.

Thats why the transhumanist are pushing so hard.

The only Organ they can not replace being the Brain.

The can make super skin now, they made a processor that is part human brain lol.

Well as far as Engineering aspect there plan is using a 24th pairs of chromosomes. To get around many of the worries of harming humanity via procreation.

It allows them to give what ever combination of enhancements they have avlb at that time to you without passing it on to children.

Kind of like how the new vaccines will are going to be made from rDNA now (scary stuff still; and this is present btw). rather then DNA which could destroy us if something mutated.

Like a lot of futurist point out now; you have your religious types and people who are slow to adjust; a VERY fast adjustment is coming to everyone alive with in next 10 yrs.
Its a lot of the same mindset people had when they first saw cameras; "they steal your soul" thing lol...

There will be no wars, or crazy fights over it; sure there will be WBC style people all over it. But in general as you have all already adapted tech, the next, social media, etc. It will be adapted the same. Genetically modified people vs normal wont happen... (Thats' scifi) Doesn't mean you wont see some extreme groups etc. Just nothing mass scale.

They are currently deciding on how to deal with it in Olympics. Because these will be permanent biological enhancements; not enhancement drugs.

So that will be interesting. You wont be able to ban it because at some point everyone will have.

Yeah I get that a lot of people are like well we will never have it..
Only the Elite.

Well no...

They gave us the internet... (U know why they really did lol;; but none the less we all use it)

They are pushing 3d printing. Which will eventually cause a shift in power from the People of DIY and monopoly.

Those second type users who crated digital objects/ clothing etc... are going to have a HUGE advantage; because they will be able to do it in the Real world...

Ray Kurzweil likes to point out for example the cell phone...
Some rich guy carried around a cell back in 80s and you knew he was mega rich. But he points out it worked like crap and he paid 5000x what you pay.

Look at smart phones, next now the google glasses.
He was 100% right about the tech rapidly become a literal extension of you.

Look at plasmas Tvs... 30k (Now they are in museums) and your paying 80+ for flat screens.

Its all about our productivity and breakthroughs that are allowing us to continuously double not only power but rapidly reduce costs.

This might perhaps be one reason Obama wanted to push the Obama care; he knows whats coming medically.

There will be no Repo man on your new limbs or organs; well unless mechanical (robotics etc.) because of the way they are going about it.

And now look at space. Its growing exponential also since it got into the public hand.

The billionaire group that are building robots right now to mine asteroids. Of which they are releasing all tech developed to the public.

Elite get first genetic treatments? (Well maybe in secret the rich ones have) But the first Genetic modifiers and treatments (not even over the counter) are coming out this year to the public. And not expensive.

This is because again our ability to manufacture has improved and we have reached a lvl where the tech is good enough to always keep it cheap; minus the first 2+ yrs. (Of which 3d printing will completely eliminate it.)

The 2 biggest things to watch are 3d printing and AI.

It might look ruff now; but abundance is coming if we make it. And soon.

Yep, reminds me of THIS...

[link to www.youtube.com]
GET SAVED: Thread: Are you SAVED from DAMNATION?

"For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this; Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. But if ye bite and devour one another, take heed that ye be not consumed one of another.

This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh. For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would. But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law.

Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God. But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.

If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. Let us not be desirous of vain glory, provoking one another, envying one another." -- Galatians 5:14-26

And soon.

Thank you for the input.
Those are very good points you make. Lets just hope mankind does not destroy itself before we see such technology implemented.

Space, the final frontier...or is it?
