Electronic Billboards on Turnpike Flash Wanted Posters for Murder and Manslaughter

Driving a couple of days ago and as I entered the Jersey turnpike I noticed three different electronic billboards with Wanted Posters (color pictures of perps 50 fifty high) for people wanted for manslaughter, first degree murder, and arson. Billboard then switched pixels to ads for a seafood resturant, plumbing supply company, and an upcoming music show.

Never saw electronic wanted posters on turnpike/highway billboards before. Seemed pretty big brother and I flashed to a future time when government- labeled-"outlaws" could find themselves on these while on the run.

Are these common in other parts of the country/world?
