Water wars on a planet covered in 75% water.
18 trillion in debt...how much you figure goes to harvesting water.

In 20 years we'll have to purchase air to breath?

Ground water from the farm = Monsanto Cocktail!

Fertilizer, weed killer and pesticide all in one.

No, ground water is filtered by the Ground.

^that^ is total bullshit.

I lived on four acres in northern CT that used to be an orchard. The fertilizer seeped down, 500 fucking feet down, to the artisan well that was dug on the property. The fertilizer completely contaminated the entire aquifer.

The state had to come in and order everyone in the area to get a reverse osmosis system - whole house system put in every home.

Before we knew that was the problem - almost everyone had the shits. That is why we tested the water.

Research before you post bullshit.

AMERICAN EXCEPTIONALISM:

KICKING ASS, KILLING NAZIS, KILLING COMMIES, MAKING BABIES, BUILDING CITIES, EXPLORING SPACE, GOING TO THE MOON, AND PUTTING THE "CIVIL" IN CIVILIZATION SINCE 1776!

******************************

But I tell you this man, I tell you this, I carry an aura of "fuck you" everywhere I go and while I may not cause scenes I can sure as hell continue them and escalate them but good.

******************************

There is going to be a second revolution folks.

Count on it - and it will be the citizens against the government.

It will be damn bloody. It will be a war of attrition. It will result in over 100 million dead.

The heavy handedness of the government - the fascists in code enforcement and animal control especially - have brought this upon themselves.

There is no water wars.
A massive subterranean water reserve in the Amazon forest has been discovered.
Enough to supply the entire planet with fresh unpolluted water for 250 years.
If properly managed, our planet can sustain 50 billion people.
Information contrary to this is only designed to control us through fear.

Water wars lul , more BS. We live on a water world, and desalination just became 99% cheaper to do. Do you think that water just disappears from the planet when you drink it?

Yes, this is the equivalent of "running out of trees".

Fear based education of the masses.

The places where water is scarce it is often through wasteful practices, such as in California where they shut off water to the crops so the golf courses will stay green, or through manipulated weather patterns. The USSR killed an entire river through over irrigation. The US has crippled the Colorado to keep the greens and the lawns green. That doesn't make sense to me.

The biggest problem seems to be getting the water from here to there, all over the world.

Maybe we should ship all the Californians to the Amazon? Move the people, not the water?

Re: The Coming WATER WARS
I dug a well a couple of weeks ago putting a septic tank,

I hit water at 3 feet or under anywhere I dig on my property. I think I will be fine.

All the land around me is being irrigated for growing food mostly rice in the wet season and corn in the dry season. As the population grows, the area is producing less food and more housing and using less water. hmmm. Not every place is like here. but there doesn't seem to be a problem. The rains have started about 3 weeks early this year. so all is well for the time being. thailand is wonderful. We have military control but I have never felt freer in my life. The US is not free. Most people don't realize it because they have live under the repression their whole lives. Freedom, americans don't have a clue. I can actual own land here, and pay no taxes on it. I can build a house without a permit, put in the plumbing and the electrical, no permit. lol. Land of free, america, I don't think so.
 Quoting: mondali1

yeah, they just legislated the building of homes, in my neck of the woods ... and you should see the KRAP that people who weren't required to get permits have built and call homes ... I bet half of them are double wides, set on cinderblocks... it would be a blessing if a huge tornado came by and blew them all away ... I have no idea how they keep warm in the winter, or cool in the summer, because their homes are as flimsy as a kite ... cutting corners to save a dime is gonna cost you in the long run .. one way or another ... you can make bricks out of dirt, for pete's sake, show a little concern for your family's welfare and build a home that they can be proud of ... I've seen tents that were better made than some of what these folks call their homes, the only "shelter" they offer is from the rain, you could shoot an arrow clean through them
 Quoting: Sunny Daze

So they are not rich, and you would be happier to push them off the land (which we have plenty of) and into rental apartments I suppose.

Beyotch. Perhaps you just didn't think about your comment.

500 feet down, that's a long way.

I live within 100 miles from you, in Westchester County NY. Our water well isn't much more than 100 feet deep and it's sweet. This area used to be farmland too, but not after about 60 years ago.

An issue like yours might appear in the local newspaper, but not necessarily I guess. Sometimes this stuff isn't talked about so as to keep up property values.
