Anyone else noticed their clocks going out of sync?
I've noticed one of the clocks in the apartment went out of sync tonight by around 1 hour and 45 minutes. I have no idea how this happened, the clock was never unplugged or touched.

Re: Anyone else noticed their clocks going out of sync?
The clock is digital and is not hooked up to any network. It seemed to get stuck in the 1 o'clock range for almost 2 hours. It is still out of sync and it is freaky that it seemed to slow down around the 1 o'clock range.

Anyone knows what could cause this?

Re: Anyone else noticed their clocks going out of sync?
since about 6 months the clock in my car wont stay on time. No matter how often I set it, the minutes stay correct and just the hours run faster. At first only by 1 hour always, now increasing up to 6 hours. Minutes where still correct until two weeks ago, when they have started being always two behind.

I also have a radio controlled clock in my kitchen, which went out of sync a few weeks back, by 6 hours. Minutes stayed correct too. I changed batteries, but they clock still keeps doing it now and again

I've notice that alarm clock would sometimes make a static noise out of no where at times.

I've notice noticing light blubs, even some which are brand new burnout in multiple areas in the apartment. Something is going on? Solar flares?

Temporal shift dude.

Seriously I've experienced way weirder, once my buddy Andrew and I went to the practice space to play music for a bit, we started playing for what seemed like 30 min at tops, and Andrew looked at his phone and 7 hours had passed. How the fuck does two people lose 6 hours? Also how the fuck did we not want either a cig, something to drink, or to take a piss?

Only explanation was a temporal shift.

At first I thought its the batteries, but with the kitchen clock its the same with new ones. Funny the minutes stay correctly and only the hours are wrong. I dont think solar flares, it would effect all clocks. Since its not effecting every clock at an area it must be something wrong with the individual ones going out of sync.

Re: Anyone else noticed their clocks going out of sync?
It's funny I see this thread this morning.

My watch runs on solar power. I keep it in a well lit area and it has always been perfect, to the second.

Every watch I ever had I had problems with, so I paid quite a bit for this one so I would have a good one.

Well, about two weeks ago , I started noticing the time was always screwed up. Then it runs great for a day or two and I pick it up again . Hours off. It's really strange.

Now, it's every other day. Baffled by it.

Ive seen this happening with my computer clock vs my alarm clock and watch. The computer clock is minutes ahead now. I think "they" are tinkering with the time, speeding it up, on "official" internet sources which are used to "determine real time."

Re: Anyone else noticed their clocks going out of sync?
I have 4 clocks in my home one on pc, stove, old fashioned digital clock was my grandads, and one wall clock I made. They all keep perfect time, unless unplugged, batteries changed etc.

I think maybe your out of wack with time, as in you enter a bubble and time is distorted to you, but time itself is a constant. Perhaps we are not...

My watch stopped 18 months ago - $4K tag - not the battery
My husband's watch stopped 12 months ago - Brietling - not the battery
My eldest son's watch stopped 3 months ago - not the battery

I get the impression that the Universe is trying to tell me that time is not important! Either that or that it is running out!hiding

nope, it's a fairly new alarm clock radio. I've seen clock radios from the late 70s still working without ever slowing down randomly, or losing sync. I've never seen a digital clock slow down randomly by so much time in such a short period before.

I usualy don't post on GLP, but I noticed 2 weeks ago that my alarm clock and car radio skipped ahead about 90 seconds while my cell phone remained at the correct time. I found it strange that these two digital clocks would change around the same time, both about 90 seconds ahead.

Also, the kitchen clock has been broken for about the same time now, probably just a coincidence, but worth mentioning.

Re: Anyone else noticed their clocks going out of sync?
I wear a tag heuer scuba watch, I set it to the US navy master time atomic clock, and the last time I set it was when daylight savings ended in Nov. In any-case my watch has lost less then one second since then. And I consider that pretty good.

This watch is a quartz-timed Swiss chronometer that has operated flawlessly for the last ten years. I have never lost more then about a second between settings and that's what I would expect from a multi-kilobuck watch. I use this watch as my personal 'master-clock' and I have found that 99.99% of all other watches and clocks gain or loose time, at least on the order of minutes per month, sometimes minutes per-week.
