If we fight our enemy using the same inhumane techniques that we are trying to stop, we will simply become what we have beheld
Ed Markey wrote "If we fight our enemy using the same inhumane and morally bankrupt techniques that we are trying to stop, we will simply become what we have beheld."

Frederick Nietzsche wrote "He who fights monsters should look into it that he himself does not become a monster. When you gaze long into the Abyss, the Abyss also gazes into you."

unfortunately to fight evil you have to be ready to venture yourself in that side to understand how it works and how to fight it

Well, first of all, Russia stopped Hitler ...

Thread: Hitler’s Failed Blitzkrieg against the Soviet Union. The victory of the Red Army in front of Moscow was a major break...

You cannot have global peace unless you stop the wars. Peace.

What is peace?

"What is peace? For most people the word conjures up the idea of a quiet life, away from everything that’s aggressive. But peace is really very different from that; it’s the most intense work in the world and can only be carried out by those who have understood that, first of all, it’s an inner state. This state is the result of a victory, won after a brave struggle, over all the psychic conflicts that tear us apart.

Each day, in order for peace to reign within us, we must re-establish the connection between our consciousness and the spiritual centres in our brain and solar plexus. When we have achieved this, neither torments nor fears have any real hold over us. But we must hold firm to a fixed point inside; otherwise, nothing and no one outside ourselves can bring us peace."

Truth is, you can't fight the government's pain ray tanks with a sit-in.

Re: If we fight our enemy using the same inhumane techniques that we are trying to stop, we will simply become what we have beheld
14For we know that the law is spiritual: but I am carnal, sold under sin.

15For that which I do I know not: for what I would, that do I not; but what I hate, that do I.

16If then I do that which I would not, I consent unto the law that it is good.

17Now then it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwells in me.

18For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwells no good thing: for to will is present with me; but how to perform that which is good I find not.

19For the good that I would I do not: but the evil which I would not, that I do.

20Now if I do that which I would not, it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwells in me.

21I find then a law, that, when I would do good, evil is present with me.

22For I delight in the law of God after the inward man:

23But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members.

24O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death?

25I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then with the mind I myself serve the law of God; but with the flesh the law of sin.

There are alternatives to "legalized murder" Ninja's can undermine their enemy without ever even being seen.
"No matter how exotic human civilization becomes, no matter the developments of life and society nor the complexity of the machine/human interface, there always come interludes of lonely power when the course of humankind, depends upon the relatively simple actions of single individuals."

Necessary evil isn't necessary then? Eye for an eye until those that need blinded are. Do unto others... it's all learned behavior. Violence begets violence, and only those willing to commit to making change can have any.

Without change there would be no need for wars.
