All who say we are "nutty" for staying don't realize that the economic situation in this country has put us all at risk. No way in hell could we just pull up stakes and run. Run where? If that thing goes it'll take out part of Texas, all of La, part of Miss and up into Arkansas. And if it activated the New Madrid the whole middle of the country would be destroyed and most of it underwater.

I know, if something like that happened around here I wouldn't be able to just up and move either, and even if I could there would have to be clear and present danger. They had a US Navy map on one of the videos.

Some said it was fake but the US had a big gap in the middle of the country filled with water. New Orleans are gone. Florida underwater and and also the West Coast.

I had a really vivid dream the time of the big San Francisco earthquake years ago.

The bottom of the hill I lived became a big river.

I understand. We have been here for 39 years. This is the home place for the kids. A lot of people got laid off and my husband was one of them for almost a year. He finally went back to work and we definitely don't have the money to uproot and move. Yes, it would be wise if your Mom is in Florida. Take care.

What a lot of people don't know is that the GOM is volcanically active. There are at least 3 asphalt volcanoes in the Mississippi Canyon.

They said there was the smell of gas at the Superbowl. The sinkhole has butane in it.

You are still under sea level. I don't think anywhere like that would be safe.

Another important thing to mention is the largest earthquake ever recorded in Louisiana was a 4.2 in 1930. Epicenter...guess where?

for that we do have an simple solution. We pull our fingers back from the dikes. Thats it. Life can be easy my friends. Don't worry so much.
