Sooo Who thinks hostage situation in Alabama is real?
I have my doubts... Why no demands? Why so hush on the Boys identity?

Why take a hostage , which is certainly going to end in the suspects death or life inprisonment, and not have any reason? He could have sat in his bunker forever alone so why kidnap a kid?

I live one mile from the situation. It is very real. The kids name is Ethan. One side of the road is lined with news media and the other side (where the bunker is located) is filled with different agencies FBI Van, State Trooper Motor Home, Local police and Ambulances, two helicopters). The guy moved in a year or so ago and is a whacko. No one knows him around here. Was he sent here by the goverment??? Who knows. I just know that Ethan is really being held in the tornado storm shelter.

This one i think is real. Not sure why, probably because I've seen people like this guy before. You can bet there is more to the story though than what they are reporting.

The little boys name is Ethan, his last named hasn't been released out of respect/privacy of the family.

Ethan turns age 6 this wednesday the 6th.

Dykes HAS made a demand. On day one, he asked to trade the boy for a reporter. He said he wants a reporter to "tell his story" to.

So why in the fuck have they not gotten a reporter. Local newspaper has stated the sheriff has not said of any demands.

"Sleeping gas" doesn't work like that. It's dangerous. Pump it in a bunker and you'll probably just kill them both.

Re: Sooo Who thinks hostage situation in Alabama is real?
MailOnline has learned that Jimmy Lee Dykes made the extraordinary offer on the first day of what has now turned into a siege situation with the FBI’s Hostage Rescue Team on site, emergency services and a host of media focused on the piece of Alabama bluff under which Dykes and the boy, Ethan, are holed up.

A source with the local sheriff's office has revealed that a CID Lieutenant spoke with Dykes for the first four hours of the hostage situation, communicating via a pipe sticking out from the ground – the only surface sign of the bunker’s location.

In those first crucial hours, Vietnam veteran Dykes attempted to strike his bargain – the boy in return for a reporter to tell his story of ‘how the government had screwed him.

Re: Sooo Who thinks hostage situation in Alabama is real?
Something is going on with the situation RIGHT NOW. "Breaking news" and all that.....

Ambulances wen't back to the site, were there for 45 minutes, and then came back out, with no sense of urgency. Police have now called a news conference.

Initial reports are the BOY HAS BEEN RELEASED and DYKES is DEAD.
