BREAKING..IRAN unveiled Stealth looking Fighter Jet (100% Iranian) I AM SPEECHLESS

Just to make myself clear here....the tone I had on this thread did not mean that I'm rooting for the Islamic Republic of Iran.
I was rooting for the Iranian engineers to build a jet like this. even though this is just a mock up, the real one exists.

The only thing that explains the amount of hate in this thread is jealousy.

Most of you were all too quick to call this a hoax simply by viewing a photo shoot meant for the press. Given that there are probably a few engineering and military secrets (on the design itself) it's quite easy to conlude that that mock-up isn't exactly as the original.

And LOL at all of the aviation experts who boasted that this is a hoax by examining a photo of a mock-up without realizing that to showcase mock-ups is standard procedure for prototypes and pre-production designs.

and LOL'ing even harder 'cause you all got excited from the incredible effort of uncovering the hoax: taking the time and using your remaining brain cells to figure out the obvious mock-up.

well, any kid can build a model out of balsa wood.
our point is, that they obviously doing have a fully-built prototype, or else they would have shown us THAT.

it's fully operational. they said they'll show the plane at the air show that is coming up. and those video of the plane flying is an RC model that is controlled from the ground station at a virtual cockpit. who knows how old the video is. but it's the Iranians. they like to put the enemies in thinking. that is the secret of war tactic.
like a poker game. Iran has raised, is US / Israel ready to call?

The airframe is obviously a feeble attempt to look cool.

First off, it is undersized. If this is supposed to represent an actual aircrft, it is obviously a scaled down version.

Second the canopy it a beacon for radar.

An aircraft with any suitable performance characteristics will require a powerplant that cannot be fed by the air intakes demonstrated.

The wing design indicates a sophisticated computer stability control system that is not likely to be found on the bench of any Iranian defense contractor.

The workmanship on the leading edges and transition zones is incredibly poor and would create enormous drag issues.

The cockpit is a sham. Insufficient avionics. Surplus seat that would not sufficiently support a pilot in a modern dogfight.

Exhaust port has no nozzle, (I'll give that it is a mockup and the nozzle would protrude from the end) however the flow surfaces will cause a concentrated exhaust plume that will be another beacon.

I could continue, but I am laughing too hard.

Personally ....I would take this aircraft on in a P-51.

No one at Iran claimed that is a real plane. The Iranians said they have tested two smaller sized models (one with propeller, the other with a micro jet engine).

This is of course a mock up of the real airplane.

well if Iran wants to run with the big dogs, that's where it needs to be.

but are they even allowed to bring their planes there?

F22 is stealth ... But it could not use it's own Radar ... while using own Radar nullifies it's stealth property. Therefore, it is said that F22 will be guided with help of AWACS in the enemy territory.




Does a Stealth Fighter Jet really need BIG BVR capable Radar?


It seems the answer is NO.


For example, I don't think Qahar-313 is going to be detected by any other fighter Jet in the BVR Range (it could only be detected, if it open up it's Radar).




Modern Era warfare says that Stealth Fighter itself keeps it's radars off, and use either the AWACS Radars, or the ground based Radars, or the data from Drones if it is going to be used as Interceptor or even as Bomber[size=78%].[/size]




The ERA of "Jack of all Trades" has gone.


Single Radar of Single Fighter Jet is not going to work any more.


But Invading Fighter Jets need the help of Integrated Radar System of AWACS + Drones + accompanying fighter jets ....


Also the defending Interceptors need the help of ground Integrated Radar System + Drones + accompanying Interceptors.




Therefore, question arises, if Qahar-313 really needs a BIG BVR Capable Radar? (I don't think Stealth fighters are ever going to be used to make BVR kills directly, while then they have to use their own Radars for a long time).


Or the usage of integrated Radar System will be enough in this modern era warfare?

I hope no one misinterpreted what Brigadier General Shahrokh Shahram have said. I wanted to emphasize his declaration that the design phase is over and tests of the design has begun.the test phase ranges from flying a RC plane to flying a jet armed to the teeth. This is a time and resources consuming phase which could lead back to changes on the original design.It could span over a number of years.

I highly doubt that this project will end up like Shafaq.Unless Iran is able to buy 5th Gen fighters and the cost is less than developing Qahar-313.

Fake. It may be a mock-up but that is not a functioning aircraft. Look at the canopy. You can't even see through it. That's kinda important if you really want to fly the thing. Just sayin.
